Ad Hominem…that’s the fallacy of your stated argument, where you put intellectual in parentheses yet don’t have a damn thing to say about the actual context of what I said. My point is climate has always changed, if you can argue against it do so, if you want to attack me, get better at it.

sure has, CO2 levels were way higher when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

They can just move all the cities to Canada and humans will be fine. more trees will grow to absorb the CO2 in the areas we leave behind. It's the cycle of civilization, just migrate to a new area if yours becomes uninhabitable or just miserable.

It’s not, just have to push it to the edge to get a response, then dial it back for actual conversation

It's been really hot.
I have found some benefits.
The freekin mosquitoes were depleted from heat and lack of excessive moisture.
After a 10° temp drop and 3 rainy days and they are brutal again

Bro, I shouldn’t have needed to say anything bc anyone who’s completed middle school American history knows that the dust bowl was caused by unsustainable farming practices. Like, this isn’t even a debate. This is a fact that’s been agreed upon for 100 years now. It hasn’t happened since bc we learned from it and changed what we were doing.

And here you are trying to compare it to the last ice age, to what purpose ?Are you under the impression that the dust bowl was a natural occurrence?

Pro tip- Plant some basil around wherever you hang out. The smell of the basil repels mosquitoes

I hate to break it to you but the Dust Bowl was created by decades of lower rainfall and drought; poor farming practices don’t impact the climate. Poor farming practices made a bad situation worse but they didn’t create the conditions that made it possible

With a high of 93 today, Baton Rouge has finally ended its record-shattering run of 59 straight days at/above 95 degrees.

Nothing like a huge thunderstorm coming through just before peak afternoon highs

Just a normal summer in the south!

Below Normal Summer in my part of the South.*

And for my Augusta, GA buddy, wherever you are......August in your area finally went above Normal by 8.58°.

Nah, I'm lying. It, too, was below normal, but only barely this time. Let's see how September plays out.

All I know is I hope this hot freaking summer doesn’t become the new norm! Or worse yet even hotter!

if the ‘heat dome’ keeps the hurricanes away - it might be worth it

Yes, climate has always changed. However, the changes occured every 100k years or so switching between glacial and interglacial periods. The problem is that we are in an interglacial period, where global temps are warmer and in theory we should be heading to another glacial period, but with global warming (CO2 emissions) that glacial period is getting further and further away and temps keep rising. But a record breaking heat streak is a "normal" summer to some people

That's cute. We had 54 above 100 and 27 above 105. We will only be 98 tomorrow.

Are you arguing weather is not cyclical?? You might need to put down the pipe. I remember just last winter it was like 4 degrees in SE LA. I didn’t start spouting the next ice age was on its way because of men. You are an idiot.

CO2 levels have been shown to be a trailing factor of increased global temps not a cause via ice core analysis Stop drinking the Kool-Aid idiot.

Stop trying to make comparisons to the dust bowl and man made global warming then. Totally different in that one is real and one is a political grift.
