The Unfixable:
- The DBs. They are what they are. They aren't going to ever be good enough to live up to the DBU standard. This makes it almost impossible to consistently play man coverage, which is extremely unfuriating... The good news? You don't play another WR as talented as FSU until the A&M game. They have 3 guys just as good as FSU.

The Likely Won't Get Fixed:
- The run game. John Emery will be a good addition, but he's not going to all of a sudden make our run game Uber productive. The biggest problem is the play calling and Denbrocks inability to implement creativity into the run game. We'll have success against inferior teams, we'll struggle against the good ones. This could be fixed if our OC decided to change up his scheme, but he won't.
- The vertical threat. At this point we have to just accept that we will never have a vertical component to this offense. It's unbelievable that this isn't a focus, but at this point it's just never going to happen unless JD gets hurt and Nuss gets in.

The Should Get Fixed:
- The pass rush. You are adding in Maason Smith, A dominant interior force. I also believe the coaches are smart enough to reinvent Perkins role and bring him back into the fold as a pass rusher. I expect our pass rush to be near the best in the nation going forward.
- The WRs. They are talented enough to be really good in this league. I expect them to get better, this seems like more of an anomaly than the rule (except for Lacy, who's drops are becoming consistent).

We can still be a really good team. Wouldnt shock me if we only dropped one more the rest of the regular season... Unfortunately the coaching staff's incompetence, the DBs, and JDs refusal to throw the ball downfield will prevent us from contending.

The defense can be fixed. But just like you said, the offense won’t be fixed. It is what it is.

Figure out a way to get Harris on the field. He a tall talented cornerback. Probably more talented than anybody out there.

The 2nd likely explains the 1st, for the most part

I agree with your analysis but not so optimistic on the season outlook. In current CFB that favors offense, you have to have an explosive offense to hang with the big boys. Plus the defense flaw is unfixable. I expect two more losses in SEC play, may be three.

I guess at what point are the WR/TE kind of just going through the motions. If JD truly doesn’t go through reads and they are the 3-4 option. Are they just moving in space with the clear knowledge that the ball will never ever come to me?

There was a pre-game analysis on the radio where the analyzer picked LSU but expressed great concerns about the defensive backs. What happened to DBU?

The first thing that needs to be fixed is the effort, it just wasn't there and they quit in the second half. Fix that and the rest takes care of itself at least as much as it can within a season.

We should have played Nussmeier at some point last night. Just maybe he gives us a spark. He gets rid of the ball quickly and isn't afraid to throw the ball out of bounds.

Without a halftime I'm not sure FSU comes out of there with the W and that's with us leaving a minimum of 6pts on the field. I never thought I'd see 100m worth of coaches get out schemed after a halftime break

Drops were a major issue and that IS fixable.i think I counted 3 first down drops and Lacy had a drop that would have been 6 points.

Summer of 10,000 would have been awesome but hell give them stick’em at this point.
