Faith, Family, and Education.

The McKinley family said these were all the key factors when looking for a school for Dominick to commit to. Commits to Texas a&m. The exact opposite of faith family and education. Sounds like one of those Phony families who use their “faith” to hide behind when making decisions that are based on worldly possessions.

That doesn’t scream Jimbo to me lol

Jimbo is a con artist used car salesman. His tirade last summer with Saban should have told everyone that. Normal people don’t talk that fast and say nothing.

Kids a 4/5 year player. This board would be so pissed when he wouldn’t see the field for 2 years at least.

Money talks. How could Dominic McKinleys mother the “educator” allow her son to select Texas A&M in light of the treatment Dr Kathleen McElroy received as a black woman selected to lead the school of journalism. The school had to settle with a $1 million payout after her contract was altered and the job offer modified. Poor form.

I don't know anything about the faith and family portion of A&M but trying to say A&M is the opposite of education compared to LSU is laughable.
I love LSU but let's not pretend they are some icon of educational standards. A&M is one of the better academic schools in the SEC. Basically, it is Vandy, Florida, Georgia, then A&M. LSU needs to thank Moo State for keeping us off the bottom.

And I’m sure that educational standards was the primary reason the kid committed to A&M just like it was the reason the 2022 recruiting class was the highest ranked class ever. I mean that and the program’s recent history of national championships in football.

His mom repeatedly talked about that before he committed. But I am sure that was not the tipping point.
I was just pointing out that it is silly to include the education statement as an obvious fraud based on him picking A&M over most SEC schools. Texas and Texas A&M are comparable, though, with Texas being marginally higher than A&M.

Texas, Florida and Georgia are all higher ranked public universities than A&M. Any player who prioritizes education above all but wants to play in the SEC goes to Vanderbilt. If you want to want to do that but win a championship you go to Georgia, or in the past, Florida. If a recruit commits to A&M in 2023, it’s not because he’s prioritizing education. I don’t care what mama says.

A&M is a very good school academically and is in the same category as the others mentioned.
LSU is not.
LSU is not.

And there is a category that LSU is in with those other schools as well as Alabama. A&M Is not.

They are. But they are all in the top 70 of all schools in the US and all basically in the same general area except maybe Florida which is an excellent academic school. It is possible proximity to home comes into play as well.
A&M is ranked 68th and is 330 miles from Lafayette
Georgia is ranked 48th and is 650 miles from Lafayette
Texas is ranked 42nd and is 380 miles from Lafayette
Florida is ranked 28th and is 642 miles from Lafayette
No one thinks that academics was the primary driver for which he picked, but it may have had an impact on who he was never going to pick, like Oklahoma (#133) and LSU (#172).
