He’s dug in so deep at this point he can’t walk it back. I’m still super sads no one took Forever up on the offer. It could have been a legendary OT moment.

You can tell the people who are saying they would beat a female MMA fighter have never actually been in a fight, nor have any concept what MMA is about.

Here’s what would happen in reality:

Rousey would kick you so hard on the shin that you’d think your leg was broke. Your head would fall forward. She’d get a guillotine on you and you’d be tapped.

And if you don’t think pro MMA fighters, even those who are 135 females, can hurt you with kicks - then just have some girl you know offer to kick you as hard as they can in the shin. Just any amateur. Then imagine what a pro would do.

If it were boxing, most 200 pound men will last and should beat a 135 pound woman. But MMA is far different than boxing or fist fighting

Yeah, because Ronda, an Olympian in Judo, with no striking game at all, is so well known for her kicks to the shin. And targeting the shin is so common. Have you watched MMA or did you just happen to catch Ronda on Ellen?

“Can’t hit a girl bro”

Ignoring the fact that they want him to do that.

It was a typical novelty thread until a couple bros talked shite and Forever offered to set it up and pay them $1000 to do it. Then it turned into a few of us working those guys over about crawfishing. Most of them quietly faded away but Pride, as his name might elude to, has stuck around for the punishment that’s been both hilarious and sad.

Not sure if this got mentioned, but some years ago a pro fighter, Germain De Randamie (sp?) fought a man. He was smaller than her and totally untrained. He gave her fits. She eventually got him, but the kicker was that he was a professional actor and there was speculation that he took a dive. I tend to believe she got him, but the fact that he was untrained and smaller, and gave her fits, was pretty telling and instructive for the conversation people are having here. Germain has fought at 135 and 145, I believe. I don't think she cuts to fight at 145. She's fairly tall. The guy she fought was noticeably smaller.

We don’t really need a hypothetical here. We just need one of the OT bros who talked shite to take the offer. It would be a legendary OT moment. We could live stream it for charity or for baws medical bills.

As stated, in a cage with rules you are going to get worked unless you score a knockout. Everyone who is talking about the jujitsu should be thinking about leg kicks.

She will be much faster than you. And proper stance is really your only chance to be in a position where you can react quickly enough to check a kick.

Now, not in a ring... She's likely going to die. The size and strength disparity are going to be a real problem.

If you want to grapple, I can get a wrist in my hand.

Now in a ring, they can submit me. In a fight, I'm just going to break bones.. There is zero incentive to fight fair. 200lbs of pressure on a woman's trapezium is going to basically remove any hope of her maintaining a grip on anything.

Add flexibility to that. It’s an under appreciated attribute.

cupcake tapping out 4 youtubers is probably the best real world illustration of the premise of this thread. And meisha was a good but never great MMA fighter in the level of Nunez

I pointed out very early on that calf kicks have become arguably the most effective strike in MMA today. But I failed to mention on top of this someone that is not trained will not have the muscle memory to defend leg kicks nor automatically move their legs in the proper way to reduce the impact once contact is inevitable. They will spend a lot of time eating calf kicks with the leg pinned to the mat with their weight.

So it is your contention that even though every single measurable is at or lower than that of the female pro MMA fighter the simple fact that he has a Y chromosome makes him somehow significantly better.

Are you under the impression that the only difference that a Y chromosome makes is the genitals of the person it is assigned to? Are there no other biological differences?

I'm glad it was. I learned that tennis is the pinnacle of sports in terms of strength, speed, endurance, and technical precision.

Nobody said that, but now that you mention it, it’s pretty much the best mix of the above, yes. Hockey right there with jt though
