“Follow the money, and the story is clear,” Robert Reich, the former US. Labor Secretary, tweeted last week. “Food corporations are using inflation as cover to jack up prices.”

It's across a bunch of sectors. Places like Take 5 Oil Change are guilty as frick too.
Since 2020, they are still paying their techs $15/hr while oil/filters/blades are all still the same price at walmart and auto parts stores.
Yet their Oil change prices jumped $25 in 2022 and wiper blades DOUBLED from $13 to $27 PER BLADE.
No doubt that increase is funding their expansion into the carwash market and has not a god damned thing to do with inflation.

For sure it costs more to make food… I don’t trust the news media after being lied to for years. Inflation is directly related to this administration and the socialists who voted for it.

They will charge as much as you’re willing to pay, and not a penny more.

You’re actually citing that angry little communist midget as a source?

I just moved to Minneapolis and it's common practice to have bullshite like this on bills:
-livable wage fee (10%)
-employee health insurance fee (5%)
It drives the frick out of me.

Wow.
Businesses pass the cost increase of their goods to the consumer via raising their prices?
Democrats told me that this doesn’t happen.

True. But that's not what the graphic, although a small sample, is trying to substantiate.

Amen to that shite. I bought a wiper blade from them a while back and was floored when they told me the total. And that was on top of the ridiculously high price to change my oil in the first place. But I’d rather someone else do it than do it myself so I guess I just have to bend over and take it. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t fricking suck.

Bright side of a depression, companies will need to start worrying about taking care of customers again.
