Found this very interesting.
Bussey has 2 official visits left - Alabama on Sept 9 and LSU on Sept 23. He announces his commitment on Sept 28.
LSU is absolutely a contender here and this could get very interesting.

What position is he projected to play?

We’re trying to rally at the end. Local kid that’s a stud. I just think he’s more comfortable at A&M.

Bussey is being recruited to Texas A&M as a cornerback, but some schools like him as a potential receiver. He was named the Mr. Texas Football in 2022 by Dave Campbell's Texas Football after he threw for 2,177 yards and 26 touchdowns while also running for 2,596 yards and 46 scores. On defense, he had 115 tackles and five interceptions, four of which he returned for touchdowns. He also ran back three kickoffs and one punt for scores.
I’m sure Kelly and staff will find a spot for him!

NM oops - just noticed, he's a wide receiver

We like him at safety. LSU is surging here but will it be enough to overcome A&M? Guess we’ll see

It’s a long way from signing day.
That’s a blessing and a curse, right?
We can flip guys that we lost or emerge as the leader for not-as-interested guys from before.
Also senior evals from instate players may create new offers.
The curse part is; we need to hold on tk these current commits.
I don’t care what anyone says about rankings…..this is a great class even if we miss on Simmons /Mack.
-8/10 top Louisiana commits
-top nc player
-top tn player
-top cb in Florida
-depth for an already stout Oline
-needs are filled

Let’s get Mr. Perkins in his ear. We need one or two five stars in this class to set us apart going forward…

Is Terry Gary's son??

LSU is one of several schools in the mix for Bussey, who has had a fairly active summer visit schedule. He took officials to Texas and Oklahoma in June with an unofficial trip to Baton Rouge in between.
Bussey, who apparently has LSU fans in his family, said that trip was impactful.

I have read bussey family like LSU alot

I believe I heard somewhere that he has some family or ties to Louisiana. I believe it because Timpson is about 30 min from Logansport.

This would certainly be a nice pickup, especially since it looks like he will play in the secondary.

Is there any relation to Kendall Bussey who played at Shaw in the late 80s?

A&M hasnt fired their NIL shot here yet, however NIL doesnt seem to be a big factor in his recruitment so far. Bussey is listening to LSU. His Mom/guardian has no issue with him going to LSU as far as distance is concerned. LSU is trying to get him to go to Orlando for the FSU game. The longer this goes the better for LSU and it sounds to me like A&M needs to make a push with a nice NIL package or he will start to really get used to the idea of LSU.
We tried to get heavily involved but Austin is not a positive in this recruitment and they havent connected with the coaches like we would want. They like Sark though.

Kendall’s son actually attended and played for 8-4…

A&M might be tough to overcome, but he would be a great addition. Whoever posted the "I'm ready to hurt again" GIF nailed it.

Crazy if lsu actually pulls this off.

The fact that he’s OV’ing LSU and Bama right before his commitment date makes me wonder where his head’s at. He either has decided on A$M and just taking these visits to be sure or he’s still truly undecided and is hoping for some clarity after these visits.
