If shitposting is a crime, this entire website should be in GITMO.

I’m not excusing his online threats, that was wrong. But he was executed by the feds
So the only report we have right now makes it sound like he shot first. Yet, you believe the FBI executed him? You believe that because you want it to be true.
All this guy had to do was walk outside with his hands up and he would still be alive.

Based on what?
Are you saying this is bullshite:
quote:
The FBI arrived at Robertson’s home around 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning. They commanded him to come out with his hands up.
A witness told KSL Newsradio that six rounds went off in pretty quick succession. They then heard agents yell ‘Shots fired! Shots fired! He has a gun!’ The witness said they lost count of how many shots had been fired.

That’s all you ever have to do everyone. Just comply.

This is idiotic. He could have 500 rifles in the house, and he'd be no less capable of harming others than if he had one rifle in his truck. The difference is, it's easier to control the environment at his house than a grocery store parking lot.
In his car, he’s most likely to only be armed with a pistol. Even if he did have a short-barreled rifle in the car with him, a car offers no protection from gunfire. And a rifle is not easy to shoot out of a car. Too small of a space. Ask any law enforcement officer if they’d rather have a shootout with a suspect in a vehicle, or in their home? I guarantee you the vast majority would choose the vehicle.
Just fricking admit it, the FBI wanted to kill this guy.

If the FBI showed up at his house, asked him to peacefully surrender, and instead the guy grabbed a gun and came out shooting (or even threatening to shoot), I don't think anyone here would take his side.

God damn, that’s fricking rich
What's rich? If that's how it went down, so be it. The guy deserves it.
It would be crazy to just accept law enforcement's word though. Let's see what the video shows.

If somebody threatens violence, it deserves to be reported and investigated. I just wish the FBI would respond to it equally whether it was Dem or Rep.

nah
We've seen this before. The skepticism of the official story is warranted.

Maybe. That's the question.

God damn, you really need to just shut the frick up.
People who actually know what they're doing (that clearly isn't you) would tell you that they'd rather not have a shootout at all. They'd interacted with him before. It's a completely reasonable analysis that they'd knock on his door, and have an uneventful interaction this time, too.
Oh, and your comment about shootouts in cars is fricking stupid. No law enforcement officer worth a frick is going to pretend they'd rather that go down in a public parking lot.
So again, shut the frick up, because you don't know what you're talking about.

For gods sake stop spewing this bullshite. Nobody here is hoping for federal agents to be killed. That’s the last thing anyone wants. A lot of us just don’t trust the FBI’s motivations, actions, and what comes out of their mouths as gospel truth anymore. Their is mounds of historical proof to back that up.

You weren't asking a question though. You have been saying the FBI handled this poorly without any basis for that opinion outside of general distrust of government.
Posted on 8/11/23 at 10:51 am to DisplacedBuckeye
Apparently cops should hide and wait until a suspect enters their car before trying to arrest them. Too dangerous to attempt anything at their home.

Any sane person should.
Now, do Progressives feel this way? Absolutely not. Violence is always the answer.

Yep, this was basically an execution by the FBI.

Are you saying this is bullshite:
If the FBI were an ethical agency, they would have easily devised a plan to apprehend this 75 year old man with a minimal chance of resistance.
He threatened to kill the President in Utah right? So you surveil him when the President is in town. If he gets in his vehicle, you make a road stop with several law enforcement vehicles. Once again, a suspect in a vehicle is way more vulnerable to gunfire, and most likely lightly armed while driving a vehicle than they are in their home.
When you raid a suspect in their home, the odds of a shootout are much higher and more likely than in their vehicle.
It’s like the difference between cornering a wild animal in their den, versus dropping a net on them while they’re walking around.

Threaten Trump, “Oh, they’re just shite talking. Nothing to see here.”
Threaten a Democrat, you get an FBI SWAT team raiding your home.

It is not some novel plot for law enforcement to show up outside a person's home with an arrest warrant and order them outside with their hands up. That is not unreasonable in any way.

Had they done this in public, and an innocent bystander was killed or taken prisoner, you would be criticizing the FBI for being reckless.

quote:Believe what you want moron, but the fact remains that there are many more safer ways to apprehend a suspect than to roll up on their home with a SWAT team.

They wanted this to end up exactly as it did.
I guarantee you that if they really wanted to apprehend this guy without violence, they could have. Imagine if this guy knew some info that they really wanted. You still think they would have done the SWAT team raid if they wanted to take him alive? But they didn’t.
If I’m a LEO in charge of this, I surveil the guy and wait until he goes to the grocery store or somewhere else, and I have two or three of my best guys snatch his arse up in the grocery isle from behind and he’s in cuffs before he knows what’s happening.
I’m ethical and don’t wanna kill anyone, but that’s just me.
