40 years of common sense saying a 75 year old 300lb man with a cane helping his blind son into a vehicle can’t magically turn into John Wick when approached by the FBI.

What’s your profession to logically negate this opinion?

The last 30 years has shown that FBI agents get pumped at the thought of murdering women and children.

Attempted to apprehend the guy in a manner that limits the confrontation as much as possible given the threat he posed?

The FBI arrived at Robertson’s home around 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning. They commanded him to come out with his hands up.

Seems fairly reasonable and easy to comply without being shot.

A witness told KSL Newsradio that six rounds went off in pretty quick succession. They then heard agents yell ‘Shots fired! Shots fired! He has a gun!’ The witness said they lost count of how many shots had been fired.

These dipshits pull for the murder of federal agents as long as you yell MAGA while doing so.

Talk about jumping the shark.

Who shot those first six rounds?

But he becomes John Wick sitting on his couch or laying in his bed?

You know, we talk a lot about firearms being an equalizer for those less physically capable, and we're correct.

You can stop making this idiotic point now.

What was his criminal record prior to keyboard warrior rhetoric on the inter webs?

If no record existed, how long had he been espousing these views on the internet?

If for over a decade without any physical acts to support his rhetoric, was there really no alternative to showing up unannounced at 6am to the suspects home?

If only we gave people with no criminal history the same leeway we do illegals and career criminals.

If he is in his home surround by a cache of weapons and a slew of FBI agents he is much more dangerous than helping his blind son into a car or he himself getting his old fat arse in and out of a car.

You are a AIDS filled dump truck of logic.

It's truly stunning that anyone still has any trust in the government. I assume every word spoken by any agent of the government is a lie 100% of the time. It's Scarface in reverse; they always lie, even when they tell the truth.

So, the FBI says he opened fire on them first?

This is idiotic. He could have 500 rifles in the house, and he'd be no less capable of harming others than if he had one rifle in his truck. The difference is, it's easier to control the environment at his house than a grocery store parking lot.

You don't confront someone like this in public when you don't have to.

I'll never understand people like yourself who have to lie to themselves to help cement their position.

If the FBI showed up at his house, asked him to peacefully surrender, and instead the guy grabbed a gun and came out shooting (or even threatening to shoot), I don't think anyone here would take his side.

On the other hand, if they knocked down his door in the middle of the night they clearly escalated the situation to a point that it didn't need to be escalated. In that scenario, I think it's you could make a very strong case that the intent was to kill the guy.

Probably more LIGHTLY armed in the car than at home.

If he is in public, he is highly unlikely to be carrying anything bigger than a pistol. As opposed to whatever he had stashed at home.
That’s exactly what I said on page one.

They wanted a shootout and wanted to kill him. No doubt in my mind.

seems like the FBI could have waited for him to leave his house, approached him and just pushed him over since he is an overweight 75 year old man who walks with a cane
Yep, this was basically an execution by the FBI.

I’m not excusing his online threats, that was wrong. But he was executed by the feds.

The liberal elites and the former liberal elites turned Ron DeSantis fanboi’s in this thread will tell you a 6am surprise visit to a 75 year old 300 lb man with no history of any criminal mischief was the best and most reasonable path the honest, highly moral FBI had in this case.

Maybe they cooperated?

But since you were obviously there, please detail how the shooting went down.

Most likely not. They don’t want their crimes to be documented on video.
