The social media company owned by former President Donald Trump in March tipped off the FBI about threats made by a Utah man who was fatally shot Wednesday by FBI agents as they attempted to arrest him for threatening to kill President Joe Biden, NBC News reported.
Truth Social notified the FBI after Craig Deleeuw Robertson posted a threat to kill Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg Jr., according to a senior law enforcement official who spoke to NBC.

I don't care what side you are on, if you make threats against the life of any President, you deserve what you get. Nice of social media to be playing cop though
Even some guys here are definitely on the watch list.

I support this action by Truth Social. Violence is not the answer

There is nothing wrong with a social media company reporting illegal activities such as death threats.
What is wrong with this case is the manner in which the FBI handled the search warrant.
I hope people are not conflating the two separate and distinct actions.

What should the FBI have done differently?

Is this the "they should've rolled him up after church" talking point?

Not kill him.

As a general rule, catching someone outside of their element tends to have far fewer problems than catching them at home.
If ATF had brought in Koresh for questioning in Waco instead of trying to perform a raid to get high visibility, that specific clusterfrick would not have happened.

I'm not privy to FBI arrest tactics but this sounds like a decent idea or maybe the grocery store parking lot.

Biden was in town yesterday. Church service is generally on Sunday.

I’ve never understood why law enforcement does this stupid shite. Why not wait until they leave their home in their vehicle then ambush them in their vehicle in a parking lot or a street with little traffic. They’re likely to either give up or if they do decide to shoot it out, they’ll likely only have a pistol on them.
But no, they raid them at their home where the person likely has a cache of weapons and are much more likely to shoot it out.
It’s almost like they want a shootout to take place.

But the FBI shooting a man dead in his own home is fine?

Why didn’t they kill Kathy Griffin or Snoop Dogg or any of the other violent leftists who suggested putting a bullet in Trump?

This guy took his blind son to church every Sunday. Why couldn’t the FBI have met him leaving church to discuss his online rhetoric?
Because they wanted to show force. They wanted to make an example of what happens when you challenge tRegime.
This is insanity
