Burrow. You do not see many players with an old school mentality like that guy anymore who has a killer instinct. The guy played through the NC game with what was it? Cracked ribs? Broken ribs? And still shredded them.

More recent but Ja’Marr Chase. Dude still got all American cornerbacks checking under their beds for him at night.

It’s changes every couple years, but for me currently it’s Mason Taylor.
Amazing talent.
Kid could start at multiple positions if he wanted to.
That Bloodline thing is real

Webster is the most underrated Tiger of the 21st century and the best cover corner we ever had.

I’ll skip TM7 and Burrow
For me it would be the Dreadlocks of Doom, Mr. Chad Jones

Yeah, that's definitely hyperbole. He as an excellent CB but not close to the best LSU ever had. I can give you a name that came right after him that was a better CB in him in Patrick Peterson. By PP's junior year anyone who tested him got dominated. He was largely forgotten in games because teams stayed away from him. When they did try to test him, he basically always came up with an INT.

Faulk
Honey Badger
Laron Landry
Burrow is everyone obvious choice and I understand why, but Faulk came to LSU when it wasn’t cool to play at LSU, Landry destroyed QBs and Mathieu was just a play making machine.

How can you pick just one? Maybe it should be top 5 or something.

Everyone's "modern era" is different.

Rohan Davey. Great human being as well as great athlete and ambassador for LSU.
