Be specific. In what ways is Trump more conservative or what area of policy are his ideas better?

Trump supporters don’t care about policy.
They are for whatever Trump tells them to be.
They are for whatever Trump tells them to be.

Think all Trump-firsters can say on the matter is that DeSantis is GOPe. Which he didn't seem be until he started preparing to run against Trump.

Not exactly. Trump supporters were probably the largest unvaxed pop despite Trump recommending them to get vaxed.

THIS. Spot on.
But, also, since they’re all groomers, themselves, they love that Trump supports Disney over DeSantis’s anti-groomer policies and they love Bud Light.

Policy has nothing to do with Trump support. It has never been that way them and it never will be.

Can you post a quick list of Ron's policies? Maybe just the top 10.

Well, what was he? What political figure are his positions most similar to?

Doesn't want to ban fossil fuels, says it will harm American families and the economy.
Doesn't want sexual fetishes taught in school/wants female bathrooms/sports teams etc to be for females only.
Smaller government/less regulations.
Anti-CRT/ESG.
Knows many government three letter agencies are partisan and wants to clean house.
Against expansion of the welfare state.
Wants to secure the border.
Pro 2nd Amendment/free speech. Not into gun bans or forced pronouns.
That's 8 or 9 off the top of my head.

They don't care or they're willing to overlook because of everything else he brings to the table?

Trump is only better at trolling and being a dirtbag. The base loves it because they think he is authentic. It is an act and he would not piss on them if they were on fire.

Not being part of the establishment.

Trump wants more manufacturing jobs back home. He knows home based manufacturing supports a lot of ancillary business. I don't know where Ron stands on this.

- Fire Wray on day 1
- Move the FBI, CIA, DOJ, IRS, EPA, etc out of DC and into different parts of the heart of the country, so they are not made up of lifelong DC swamp creatures and are more connected to the average American and locale
- Use presidential powers to remove non-appointed individuals that take part in any partisan actions within the agencies. These career bureaucrats have been protected from firing for too long
- Wants to reduce the size of these agencies by at least 50%
- End the weaponization of these agencies through strict enforcement of rules against partisanship and all of the above

Thanks, that will do.
OK let's see:
Fossil fuels - looks good and looks about the same as Trump.
Schools curriculum - looks good, and I don't think Trump has said much, so looks like some separation in Ron's favor.
Smaller government - looks good, Trump was a really good deregulator and that helped the economy so not much separation here.
Anti CRT - looks good, Trump doesn't like woke either so not much separation here.
1A and 2A - looks good, Trump had the one hiccup with the bump stocks but was otherwise solid. Trump is fighting like a mo-fo for free speech these indictments are a direct attack, so he's doing and Ron is talking. Slight edge to Trump here.
Just about a tie really but one of them has job experience actually being president.
So that is my back of the napkin assessment and I reserve the right to change my mind.
