Glad Bill got his Boutte straight.

Great to hear, too bad his QB sucks but hope he balls out regardless

I really don’t think Boutte ever fully recovered from his injury his sophomore year in 2021. He just isn’t as fast or explosive anymore.
His attitude seems to have declined as well, but I think he never fully recovered from his bad knee injury. That’s not an unusual thing, unfortunately.

I don't think he bought into the BK system and I'm sure Coach Kelly had talks with him about how his attitude could effect his draft status and he seemed to kind of come around. But he wasn't what anyone would expect from an LSU #7...

I hope he can continue to perform but more importantly I hope he can mature and grow as an adult. His football talent is not the question, its all about his maturity and growth.

My thoughts as well. Kayshon pre-injury had 1st rounder written all over him. Hardly resembled that last year.

I noticed him limping after plays later in last season. I wonder if he was still handicapped when doing time trials prior to the draft.
It sounds as if he has finally recovered. He looked elusive vs Georgia but he still may not have been fully recovered.

I had an almost identical injury to his and it took me two years to fully recover and another 6 months to feel confident in it. I’d be fine for a while and then tweak it. Hopefully he has stronger bones and ligaments than I do

Hope he does well in New England.
Anyone ever confirm the rumors of his sex party in Atlanta?
Was definitely weird how he announced he was returning for his senior year & then changed his mind a couple weeks later just to get drafted in the 6th round

Boutte coming into the 2022 season was a top 10 #1 WR off the board on EVERY SINGLE DRAFT PREDICTION. He was also penciled in as a lock to win the belitnikof award, he was leading the race for it in 2021 before his injury for those who don't remember. The young man had Jamar Chase level hype.
My opinion is that the injury set him back significantly. I believe his attitude issues in 2022 were solely based on his inability to perform at his 2021 level. The kid was frustrated with himself and it was bleeding over into his on field actions. It happens...

Having a really nice day at camp today too. Caught a TD and a few other balls from the starting group. The other pick from that round Douglas has been getting legit looks and turning heads since the spring but Boutte making up a little of the gap there. I’d expect both to make the roster but I could see them shutting Boutte down with a minor injury and letting him heal and develop to save a roster spot

The second article says that he is still wearing his LSU shoulderpads. Does LSU have the GOAT shoulderpads?

sort of a tradition with our baws, don't pay enough attention to see if other former college players do it, but our guys seemed to have become attached to their LSU pads
