Yet you all actively and continually support the same 2-party politicians. Even better, you try to bully and ridicule posters who are independent. God forbid we want politicians who are not slaves to parties and group-think.
‘Splain this to me please.

People who don’t understand how math works deserve ridicule.

Same for people who sit on the fence yearning for the utopia of a mythical “third party” that will never come.

Sure, no problem. It's because an independent has no shot at winning. It's a waste of support.

So basically you are too cowardly to stand up against the party system.
Got it.
Got it.

I agree and I am an independent, however, I don’t want to be patting myself on the back for voting third party when Joe is re-elected.
So I will 100% vote DJT or RDS, or whoever gets the nomination. A viable “third party” is going to require a ton of time and effort.

3rd Parties that gain some level of popular support always force the Main 2 parties to absorb some of that platform, or all of it.
It has a purpose.

Change is never easy or fast. But it doesn’t happen without courage and fortitude.
Keep voting party line, and you have no one to blame but yourself.

Exactly. And the bigger the bloc the more leverage it has to make demands.
Although with the Uniparty we know we have the best remedy is showing the illegitimate nature of the system. Nobody in America gets what they want. Explained really well here.

No, actually. I've wasted my vote on an independent candidate in the past. You want to know how much good that vote did? See below...

Trump is the 3rd party choice.
Why do you think the GOPe wants to get rid of him?

The Constitution will have to be amended and our electoral laws changed significantly to get rid of the two-party dynamic.

Yes the:
2 Time Nominee of the Republican Party
That was a Republican President
That is leading in the current Republican Party primary by 40 points
That handpicked the Republican Speaker of the House
That handpicked the Head of the Republican Party
is "3rd party"

It's very simple. At the local level you can vote 3rd party for Mayor, city council, school board, etc. and they can win.
At the national level it's impossible.
Since I live in a state that has NEVER been a swing state, I have voted Libertarian as a 3rd party for President and it's not throwing my vote away.
But people in swing states would accomplish nothing by voting 3rd party.
Also, there are places like Canada and the UK with more than 2 parties in Parliament. They are just as bad as the larger parties when it comes to being 'slaves to parties and group-think.'
The only thing that would change the mindset of politicians is strict term limits. But they will never vote for that.

It has nothing to do with math - it's about the cowardly refusal to vote for something other than a D or an R.
"Math" is why we still have Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. "Math" is how you get the supremely retarded members of our society, like Joe Biden, to be in DC for half a century.
"Math" is not how you take back control of your country. Voting is how you take back control of your country.

Really isn’t that difficult for someone with average intelligence to understand. You vote for the candidate with the opportunity to keep marxist/communists out of office and power, and then raise utter hell when the one you voted for fails to destroy or oppose the implementation of marxist/communist/democrat policy.
Reality dictates that your only other option is to do otherwise, which is to vote for the destruction that marxist/communist/democrats inevitably bring, so that we can eradicate the suicidal philosophies and rebuild the representative republic that our founders gave us.

You can say that all you want. The reality is that there are significant structural barriers in our federal electoral framework to having a multi-party system.
Its a pretty consistent feature of that governments which use single-member districts and plurality/FPTP elections like ours tend to have two major parties. Some of the larger parliamentary systems have small/regional third parties but none that are viable to form a government.
Conversely, nations with strong regional governments, coalition-based governance, proportional representation and/or multi-member districts tend to support a larger number of parties.
What happens here is that independent movements simply get absorbed. The alternative is handing the election to the other major party.
