Is there anywhere to get a Honda push mower anymore?

None of the stores around me have any ever since Honda announced they're getting out of the market. Is Toro the next best thing in this case?

I have a Husqvarna that I'm happy with.

I think the model they were selling was recalled so they supposedly pulled it. Guess if mine ever dies I'll have to get a toro.

Husqvarna exited the walk-behind mower market a few years ago. Honda is effectively exited as they planned to shut down production in September but issues with engines in the remaining inventory has seen them put a stop of sales. Toro Super Recycler is probably the only commonly available option that has at least the potential for a pro-sumer conventional walk-behind but the B&S engine they come with is junk. At this point you pretty much have to build your own or find something used you can rebuild.

Do you know what specifically the issues were with the engines?
I ask because I bought a Honda HRX at the end of May / early June and recently returned it 2 weeks ago because starting the mower was a constant battle. It felt like the motor would seize up and not allow the pull string to, well...pull. I was only able to use it a total of 3 times. Very disappointed.

I picked up a 2022 HRX off FB market place. Had the same issue starting, but I've found if you pull slowly through 80% of the stroke and harder on the last bit of tension it starts right up. It's different, but once you get the hang of it works fine. Pulling hard in the beginning is impossible, and I thought I had gotten a bad deal.

It is also due in part to the stop sale order on HRN216 and HRX217K mowers due to the faulty decompression valve.

Just bought one from Home Depot a month ago. So far no issues used 4 times.

Glad I got mine 4 years or so ago. Starts in the first pull every time.

Since there was a stop sale on the Hondas I went with a Cub Cadet with the Commercial Kohler engine. It should last me until I'm forced to buy electric.

Love my Toro. Have a 22" recycler with a Kohler engine. Still starts on the first pull after 7 years

i'm not an e-whore but i think going electric isn't the worse thing for lawnmowers either as long as the battery life is within a reasonable range of gas.
so much less mess and noise...

I really should sell mine. It never gets used.

Not currently, I was hoping to get one before they get out the market completely in September.
My current Honda mower is 16 yrs old, I love that thing.
K&D has a call list once Honda figures out which Serial numbers they can sell.
Hoping they get it figured out, my plan is to get a new one and then rebuild my old one that way I would not need a new mower for the rest of my mowing days

I wouldnt count on K&D
I went in 2 months ago for a new EGO.
Sales guy says oh yea, we will have that one in this week.
Ill call you.
I called him twice for updates, he said he didnt know status.
He never called back, I went to Lowes.

Have had mine for 10 and it still starts on the first pull every time. And it is way quieter than my past mowers.

Bad batch of cams with faulty mechanical decompression parts. I actually have a spare cam and timing belt for my GCV160 but not because it's an affected model. It's actually not difficult to pull these little engines apart, just a clamshell design and everything is built in modules. With the parts handy I could probably do the entire repair in under 4 hours including removal and reinstalling back on the deck.
