Sued in Federal Court today for not paying off a $2,000,000 loan.

Not surprising

Ever since he’s been drafted, it’s been one thing after another. It started with him getting sued by an Agent/agency and has basically never ended.

Probably never will unless he gets a team of really solid, intelligent people around him and his family.

Ankr v. Zion Williamson; Sharonda Sampson; Lee Anderson

Maybe some kind of crypto deal gone bad.

Zion partnered with ankr as a spokesperson, I believe. I don’t think he did any real promotion for them.

Have you seen the lawsuit? Does it say he didn’t repay money, or are they suing him for not fulfilling his contract?

This is almost as bad as Brady partnering with FTX then having to save face and divorce his wife to save the family

Looking at it, looks like his stepdad took out the loan on Zion’s behalf.

Also in it Ankr states that Lee told them they needed the 2 million immediately because the family would suffer financial hardship.

This sounds to me like his mom and stepdad are bleeding him dry and spending all his money.

Do not like. This isn't the first time they did something like that.

I'm starting to understand why Zion is such a mess.

He's surrounded by, and getting advice from, terrible people.

It took Lonzo awhile to realize his dad was dragging him down, maybe one day Zion will do the same.

Money was fronted to M&D pay for Garden District home and renovations (i pass there everyday and that place is at least a year or more away from being livable). Loan was extended day after council approved the third floor addition.

House is in moms name - loan was to dad - It is their house not Zions. i don't know what they do for a living but Zion is a grown man with baby mommas to feed. Are children legally responsible for the debts of their parents?

Sounds like Ankr loaned money to people with no money.

Only if it's under Zion's name.

Perhaps Zion co-signed on the loan.

That would be wild because he can lend them the money and it wouldn't have made a dent in his bank account.

i seriously doubt that.
He's barely even played basketball and he's already guaranteed to make over $350M, and that's just his NBA contract and Jordan brand contract.

So $175,000,000 after taxes, take another 10% off for agent fees leaving just over $150M.

While it seems difficult to do, if he has this level of succubi already bleeding him dry with no concept of cash flow or management, I think he can pull off wasting it all.

Unless he grows up and cuts stepdaddy out and puts momma on an allowance.
