Where do you grab some lunch?

Was there for work today and haven’t walked the tunnels in prob 7-8 years. What happened to the Rajun Cajun?

Looks like Covid hit the tunnels pretty hard. Lot of empty places. Grabbed some Which which today. Classic backup plan.

I’ve lived in Houston for over six years now and had no idea Houston had a tunnel system until this thread

I used to hit up Beck's Prime...not sure if it's still there. As others mentioned Treebeards was a regular for me.

We frequented the mall/Houston Center. The variety was aplenty.

Treadbeards is goat for Tunnels. Doozoo’s dumplings are fire too

Eta: I’ll have to check but the Shipley’s at Main-ish and Fannin was GOAT. The dry cleaners on the same section would also shine your boots for $5.

Eta2: Simon’s cafe at Houston Center, holy smokes what I would give for a plate of lemon chicken rn

Doozos for dumplings (they have one in Allen Center tunnels now), Mayuri for Indian, luchi and joeys for some solid street tacos, post oak grill, district 7. Flipping Pattie’s in understory as well.

The tunnels are in decline for lunch. Was much better.

Understory has the “Nuevo” food court you can check out. Pasta, poke, rice bowls……all you want for $20 lunch

There is an Post Oak Grill still hanging in there.

The dumpling shops were money. Can't remember the names. Doozo? (maybe not technically in the tunnels). Bao maybe?

Is Doozo Dumpling still around in the park shops?

I used to get those twice a week but haven’t had them since COVID. The lady that ran it was the real life Seinfeld Soup Nazi haha.

Ragin Cajun has only the original local. It think that tunnel one shut down well before Covid IIRL. Agree with Treebeards. Cant go wrong there. Beyond that I have not been down there post covid. Used to eat at Beck's prime quite a bit and its always solid if its still down there.
