I know most on the OT wouldn’t do it… but runners on the garbage truck making 1k a week in the BR area… shouldn’t be no excuse for a able body man not to be able to take care of himself out here… no drug test

We have hundreds of good paying jobs, can't hire people.

I think we still have over 100 jobs available.

52 a year? I thought garbage men made like 70. Lot of available jobs, you are correct there, but I’d find something else for 52.

There's a guy in our town who walks around in the middle of the night making sure the garbage cans are in the right position for the trucks to pick up. IDK how much he makes, but he's in great shape. He must walk 6 or 7 miles .

No doubt about it, but stock boys at Whole Foods make 30 a year. Granted 20 is a decent swing but still.

Except for MAYBE the Great Depression, there has never been a time in the last hundred-ish years where a person willing to work could not find a job.

Evidently the grapple trucks break down occasionally and either they can't repair in a timely manner or the city isn't smart enough to have a spare. Last week my garbage men had to pick up and dump those big grapple garbage cans by hand. That's bullshite.

Don’t know if it’s sad but there is so many easy ways to make money that isn’t actually employed work so lots of people just are not in the work force because of it

It always seems like having the human-on-the-back garbage trucks are more efficient than the grapple trucks.

I know that unemployment comp went from 6 Mos to 2 years during the recession about 15 years ago. Is it still 2 years?

that's the norm where I'm at, all of the WM CWS trucks I see around here do it manually, pick up is a lot faster

Maybe he does it for free, to work on his conditioning?

they've got guys in Madrid that start work at 10pm cleaning the hell out of the streets, they pick everything up(not much to pick up,) sweep, then hose everything down, my Spanish is a little rusty but I think they call them prisoners
