Excited for the challenge of playing you guys again this season. Was at the game last year and it had to have been one of the most exciting games of the entire college football season. That was when no one thought either team could get to 10 wins.

This year we both come in with much higher expectations and a potential top 10 matchup.

The winner has a good leg up for a playoff run while the loser still has a chance to get in as well. Hopefully both teams play better on special teams as we both had missed FG's while y'all had a couple muffed punts (that resulted in no points for us).

Both teams return a stud QB and great WR's. Both teams should be able to run the ball as well. Turnovers and sacks will be key. This game could go either way.. again. The game being played in Orlando should help us out a little bit as I expect more Nole fans in the stands.

Good luck and may the best team win!!

Enjoy it while you can, but it’s clearly the biggest game of the opening weekend

I am ready for some football! This stretch between the end of baseball and the start of football is always tough on me!

You lost me with this. I think both teams are going to struggle running the football. I expect both teams to play well defensively.

Will be there with a bunch of Noles. Look forward to it. Wish the game was at Doak.

69 posts? Not sure how I feel about this guy. These type of cordial and rationale posts will be less tolerated the closer we get to kickoff

Exciting ?

That was one of the ugliest games I’ve watched in recent years. Execution was horrendous in all phases.

FSU doesn't get a tuneup game this year. That was honestly BS and probably affected the outcome.

Is it too much to ask that our special teams don’t literally play for FSU this time?

I obviously have P&G Glasses now, but this year is not REMOTELY the same as last year.

2022 - Brand new Coaching Staff, Brand new Offense, Brand new QB in a Brand new system:

2023 - Experience Coaching Staff, Talented Offense returning nearly everyone, former SEC W champs, Returning O-Line, Experienced D-Line, Heisman contending QB, and an electric breakout star on defense in Harold Perkins.

Tigers by 1000.

A game doesn't necessarily have to be well played to be "exciting". Regardless of what happened before then, LSU's 90+ yard drive in ~1:30 to score what looked to be the game tying TD with no time left was incredibly exciting. In fact, I would argue that was Daniels's best drive of the season. It was then equally exciting for FSU fans to go from disappointment in giving the game away to LSU to jubilation with the blocked XP to win.

Compare that to the 9-6 OT win by LSU at Alabama in 2011. It was an excruciatingly intense game to watch given the stakes and the fact one mistake could completely change the outcome. But from a neutral observer's perspective it wasn't a terribly "exciting" game. It was a defensive stalemate for the most part.

Definitely should be top game of the weekend
LSU DB's concern me and they will be tested that first game
LSU should be much better on offense as too many new parts really hurt LSU in last year's game

So that's your excuse for the fluke win Ahole?

Add to that:
Almost no Mason smith or Harold Perkins.
FSU had a tuneup game we didn’t.
Horrendous special teams.

Way to completely neglect the fact that one muff was with under 3 minutes left in the first half and the other was under 2 mins left in the game.

It's fine if you want to be optimistic about this game, but trying to whitewash the last one as anything but a special teams travesty for LSU is a little disingenuous.
