Google maps is sending me all over the place. Anyone know what is going on over there? I know westbound is under construction.

Travel near the state line has been horrific! Last weekend sucked!

I just got past this. Took 59 north to picayune and then a hwy to Diamond head (took another detour to the next exit) and it barely cost me any time.
Most people are taking the first detour right past Pearl river but that was backed up a long way.
Got extremely lucky and caught the backup right as we got to the big interchange and Slidell and made the right choice to detour north.

You should thank them for keeping you safe from getting mugged.

Road construction on the bridge at the state line. Came through last weekend and wish I would have detoured. I would rather drive much farther than sit in that traffic again

Thread last week had a few solid suggestions for the bridge issues.
To sum it up, take Picayune. Go north or south. Both have advantages. If you go south you get back on i10 before bridge construction so wait is minimal. Or head north and from there a few different routes can be taken.
ETA: I don’t read good

East vs West is difficult for many to comprehend

I was close making today my trip to MS.
Glad I picked tomorrow.
Hard Rock better have my cast iron pans tomorrow, and not give me the BS it didn’t arrive on time due to the traffic.

Westbound: Exit 20 through Delisle, left on 630, take Texas Flat Rd to 670, to 59 south. Way faster.
