If Trump is such a blatant criminal why wasn't he arrested before being elected POTUS?

I don't think the dude ever had any felony criminal charges before he was elected president.
I know he's had some bankruptcies, divorces, extramarital affairs, probably some misdemeanor traffic violations and such but to my knowledge he was never convicted of a serious crime/felony until he ascended to the highest office in the land.....just seems strange that a former law biding citizen goes off the rails, committing felony after felony once he was elected president. I guess all the power of being president corrupted a once lawful citizen......or maybe there's something else going on. ...probably just the mean tweets.

Seeing how far Trump has fallen mentally since 2016, and comparing his actions in 2022-2023 to how deft he was in 2016, that probably should be the main argument to answer your question.
This isn't the same Trump who won the election in 2016.
This isn't the same Trump who avoided US, UK, AUS, Russian, etc. intel agencies all working against him to ensnare him.

This is a sophomoric topic on this board, tbh. Here, the witch-hunt is a real thing to all. It's obvious they are just abusing the powers they have (shitting on America itself to do it btw) to try and take him down. He is absolutely the ONE thing that exposes and threatens them all.
What's so funny is that if they hadn't been so scorched earth on him from the start, I wager all of us that like him would like him a lot less. He's always willing to make deals. Well, NOT now. Not with these people who have tried to ruin our country and his life.

This simply isnt true and is literally “fake news”.
He has never personally filed for bankruptcy. A few of the 100s of companies he has/had a vested interest have however. A company filing for bankruptcy protection is simply part of the lifecycle of of a business and is often times the “right” thing to do for a company and its employees.
