Looking for a compact, AO scope in matte finish, optix from 1-8/9 power, quality glass is MUST, all my glass is leupold/burris/nikon,Zeiss, and leica binos...

open to some of the newer stuff with good reps, just point me in the right direction, thanks fellas.

scope will be on older ruger 77-22kpr stainless, i got one of the first released, sn* is 000490, shoots a 1.5moa at a 100 with CCI MINIMags.....

thanks, for any input...finkle

Edit:

Yes, 2-3x on lower end is fine, I guess I’ve alway equated quality glass with reliability?

Yeah, need a budget.

If budget isn’t an issue, I have. Nightforce NX8 1-8 that I love. It’s on an AR.
It’s very compact and light the glass is great.

Have you checked out any Swampfox optics yet? I’ve got two Arrowhead 1-8s that I’m extremely impressed with.

Why? It's a gun site. Reliability is the only important thing.

My Swampfox arrowhead 1-10 has more kills than any of my other rifle/scope combinations. I highly recommend them.

I would ask yourself if you absolutely need 1x at the low end, and if you don't consider a 2-10 or a 2.5-10. You can get better glass for the same money by going with a smaller zoom ratio.

Nightforce and swampfox arrowhead, I’ll do some readying. Familier with Nightforce. Did some Prarie dog shooting with those. LARGE scopes. Great light gathering. Unfamiliar with Swampfox. Thanks again.

LARGE scopes.

Not the NX8 1-8. It’s very compact.

I have a NF ATACR 5-25x56 and it’s huge and heavy.
