We all know the general situation - shooting of a teenage boy.

Summary of the video: France is a mess, it's been a long time coming. They have done a poor job with immigration. There is no vetting, there is no assimilation, many of the African immigrants do not like or respect France or its culture. When this incident settles down, the problem will still exist and turmoil is assured to happen again in the near future.

The notes below are just captures of what the various guests had to say. Most are media members that cover France and relevant topics.

Here are my notes:
- The violence appears to be starting to abate.
- North African but African community in general is mostly involved, and levied accusations of racism.
French police may have a very small amount of racism but it is thought be very small, and overall French police are seen to be pretty adequate.
- For 20yrs or so, inner cities have been described as 'lost territories' within France due to immigration. Bad people doing bad things. This culture shift of lawlessness, particularly in Paris, is a serious problem in France.
- France has not integrated the huge African population and this is a problem. Unskilled, Muslim immigrants are not integrating or assimilating, and don't respect French norms. Heart of the problem is this large group and they do not accept French norms, ways, culture, laws, and so forth. Social integration is a problem.
- Like we often see, looting and violence affects innocent people, innocent businesses.
- In some of these areas there is up to 40% unemployment.
- Many policies in France contribute to tension from banning of head scarves to prohibiting the survey of French people on their ethnic origins. In recent years police have been authorized to shoot at moving vehicles (relevant to this case) in response to the terror attacks from 2015. However, needed training for police is often absent.
- Deep concern in France from retired military, wrote letter to Macron and said France was on the brink of civil war. Response from Macron govt was to attack these people rather than deal with the problem. Now France is at a tipping point.
- Violence is drifting now but belief is that it will erupt again in the future, probably near future.
- Immigrants essentially reject France and have contempt for the 'liberal' values such as equality among the sexes. People like Le Pen are saying to deport those with criminal offenses, refuse asylum to many that come to France, examine a treaty with Algeria that makes it easy to setting in France if you're from Algeria. EU must get involved - 100k people earlier this year left Africa for Italy. 40k were stopped, 60k got through, which is an increase of 135% from last year, and that total will go up as they are entering the 'boating season' now. These are mostly young men from cultures that don't want to respect France. Many are economic migrants, they want to make money but have no intention of assimilating.
- Macron making things worse by going to Elton John concert while the nation burns.
- British journalist chimes in about integration, says discussions about what it means to be British take place in the UK, but in France, those types of conversations don't exist.
- Many protestors have hijacked the protests for their own agenda.
- Initial statement from police helped spark anger. They claimed they were in fear for their lives but it appeared that was not the case. Within 48 hours they estimate 250 schools attacked, 1000 buildings, 6000 cars, so in many areas you don't have people with functioning cars, communities with no grocery stores etc.
- Far left is among the protestors and they just love to fight the police.
- French population is now over 10% Muslim.
- France has a policy of not recognizing minority / majority status but just says everyone is French. Sounds good on paper but produces problems.
- French left has a long history of hating France. And there's a long list of evil people that were educated in France: Pol Pot, Ho Chi Minh, and others.
- Other minorities in France have been very successful so immigration isn't hurting, it's the immigration from the wrong people, like people that have always been hostile to France and lived a culture very different, and the generous welfare benefits encourages their transit.
- Estimates are that 65%-70% of people want some additional controls put in place regarding who comes into the nation.
- Politicians do nothing.
- Some of the far left in France resembles the same far left in the US.

This is a festering mess and it's not going to get better soon. If France and the rest of Europe do not get immigration under control, the consequences will be disastrous for them.
