They were taking some cheap shots, and getting away with some iffy non-calls all night. It’s crazy to have this irrational confidence when you have no trophies and got skunked in the WC.

I'm glad Canada is "good again," but they are where we were in 2018--a few attacking superstars but nowhere near the depth they need if the big boys don't show up. This Gold Cup proved that. Without their otherwise decent front line, they really struggled against the CONCACAF minnows. I still think their A team could be a force in the region, and would definitely be in the hex if there was qualifying for 2026, but they really need the CanPL and the "under 21 Canadian" minutes thing to play out if they have any hope of really developing.
