Awesome presentation. We very nearly drove up Sunday. 24-4 gave us some reservations, I have to admit. It turns out we could have gone with no worries. But, I sorta went anyway - through your descriptions!

My first trip ever, I was there for the championship series. This captures it so well.

Omaha was the best time I've had on a trip in a while. Everything seemed so surreal. Was incredibly lucky I was able to be with friends, family, and other great LSU fans witnessing LSU win title #7.

I too was on that United flight and drove back to Houston in a Kia

We were still awake drinking when we got the notification the flight was cancelled. Frick United

I did the exact same thing as you... 4th trip, but first one that I spent the entire 12 days. My experiences were nearly the same, but I drove from Houston both ways (2 days each way) and made it an extended 60th birthday & retirement trip.

Everywhere I went with an LSU shirt on, the locals were so gracious to me. Even at the golf course, locals offered to buy me a beer after the round.

I've also gone to 7 women's college world series and Oklahoma City doesn't come close to Omaha. When OU is in rhe WCWS, the locals act like we're in their way and many wished we would go home. Omaha embraces the CWS and loves hosting.

Great read!

This was my first trip to Omaha and it has been a bucket list trip for me since I was 10. I got to experience the Tigers win a championship with my 13 year old son. He and I flew up the Friday before the championship series. I had tickets lined up if they made it there. I was distraught after we lost to Wake. I didn't think we had the pitching to make it out of the loser's bracket. I kept it a secret from him because I didn't want him to be bummed out if we didn't make it. When Tommy hit the homer, we jumped all over my living room celebrating and I yelled "WE'RE GOING TO OMAHA!!!" He thought I just meant LSU was going.

"No buddy...you and I are!"

I'll never forget his face when he realized what I was actually saying..

It's a trip I will never forget, and hopefully one he will always remember. It was special for me to experience that with him.

Very nice. This was my first time going to every LSU CWS game. Still can't believe they played 8 games here!
