Will be a somewhat small group. About 16 people. About half will be kids aged 11 and up.
Looking for a good variety but probably leaning towards Steak and Seafood.
Thanks in advance.

Private dining at a restaurant or have a chef come to your house?

I’m not a big fan of Sullivan’s. At all. But it’s a good option for what you are looking for.

Ask to reserve the library at Sullivans.
Not my first choice for food but the set up is nice in the library for what you asked.

I went with a group to a working lunch/presentation at Cafe Amercain. They have a decent sized private room right in the front that could easily hold 16 people.
The food isn’t going to win any awards, but it’s edible and it’s a mix of a few different things.

Louisiana Lagniappe has a private area for a big enough party, I believe

Ruffino's has a great private area. It's Italian, but they serve great steaks, and have many dishes with seafood in them.

Jubans would be a decent option.

The wine room at the original Chimes is pretty cool

I think they have a separate room at Little Village.

I plan a ton of meals for work. For that size, I love Mansur's, La Contea on Jefferson, Little Village, Beau Soleil, Sullivan's.

French Market Bistro. I've been there several times with groups that size, and they never disappoint.

I recently tried to get a room for about the same amount of people and they usually send you to the catering mgr or sales. With a group of that size they want to give you a pre fixed menu and some places even charge a room fee.
Had a friend who did a group for prom and Juban’s chatted a room fee, which they were aware of. They then added the 20% service fee to the room rental as well.

We had a private event at Mansur's and it could not have been better.
