When working outside in this heat, I wear a boonie hat, but the back of my neck still gets sun. I usually use a towel to keep the sun off, what about are some other options? I don't care for gaithers.

My mullet

Or a straw cowboy hat to keep the mullet cool.

You don’t. That’s why you are called a redneck….

Or a cancer patient.

I’ve tried everything, and the coolest (temp, not visual) option is the hat of your choice with one of those capes in the back. Gaiters are tough when it’s 100/100 outside.

I normally wear a lightweight hooded spf sunshirt on the boat, but I use a Buff gaiter around my neck when i'm wearing a tank trying to get sun on everything but my neck/face.

I have a boonie with a built in, uh, I guess curtain of sorts. When not in use it rolls up into the bill.

I wet those gaiters or towels around my neck. Long sleeve shirt and wide brim hat.

The straw wide brimmed hats are hard to beat. They are sold in many sizes. Peak summer they really are great:

When I was a little fella I asked my dad why the back of his neck looked like a baked brick.

I just can't figure out a good way to store that in my boat. Otherwise, it seems perfect.

I got myself a cabelas brand safari hat that looks a whole lot like a knockoff stetson crushable. Imma try that this weekend. The bill is not floppy.

Act like a man and just do your work. Or, go back inside and continue being a baw.
