Were they a scam by the rich? How come student loans isn’t ok but ppp is? Why wouldn’t congress create law for one but other

It’s called money laundering, student loans are just an expense not an investment

you're only bringing up PPP loans because the twitter bots are talking about it.
It's irrelevant to the student loan issue

If I were you, I’d be trying to get my money back from Blinn Community College as well, Aggy.

The government practically shut down the economy so they printed money to keep sone things going. People got paid who wouldn’t have gotten paid. Money was flowing.
Forgiving debt doesn’t have the same impact. Delaying payments would serve the same purpose. Debtors would keep more money, but they have to pay it back later.

Wasn’t necessary but politicians found away to scam money to corporate donors

How? It’s creating more $ to be spent on the economy, why is one ok and not other?

Well one is a loan to go to college, with no promise of being forgiven. The other was forgivable SBA loan to help keep most businesses from going bankrupt (due to the pandemic)
One is a choice - go to college or not. Get a loan or not.
The other was not a choice for many businesses, who were doing fine before the govt shutdown. Still many failed, but it kept things somewhat normal.
PPP was flawed, but to many businesses it provided a valuable lifeline to keep America working.

PPP was a terrible program but has nothing to do with student loans. PPP was passed by Congress the way spending programs are supposed to be done

Theft from the poor to the rich and socialist institutions like schools.

Why not let them go bankrupt? Strong survive.

Don’t agree with PPP loans, but you’re talking apples and oranges
Govt shut down economy with no lifeline for workers, so PPP was welfare for all to keep economy going. Businesses running and people employed.
Student Loans were paused, so those with loans weren’t out anything and likely got the benefit of PPP in some form. Why should they get wiped clean when they made the idiotic decision?

Having a business fail is normal as well no? Just like there are dumb students, there are businesses that deserve to close

BigGov shutting down businesses isn't akin to natural selection.

Our tax dollars going to revenue growing, profitable businesses so they can make capital improvements.
$$ that were earmarked for payroll, simply gets used for capital improvements.
It was a sham to all non-business owners. Of which most claim to be furious with government wastefulness and bloat. Hypocrites.

For many, especially restaurants, it wasn't a matter of the strongest survive. It is almost impossible to work when people cannot go out to eat. PPP was flawed, and perhaps should have been a no-interest loan to be paid back over many years, but the collapse of commerce and capitalism due to an overreaching federal government would have been much worse. PPP was a lifeline for many small businesses and kept things somewhat normal.

Because BigGov forced them to shut down through no fault of their own?
No, that's not normal.
How old are you?

Lots of ppl scammed ppp. I live in a pretty lib state that was heavily restricted and nobody around me lost their jobs etc. it was all work from home and lots of these companies were making record profit with less overhead. Not saying it didn’t happen or eventually get worse but ppl scammed the shite out of ppp. Small business, non profits, even govt funded agencies took out ppp. It was very dumb.
