Mississippi St. finally won their first NC in 2021. They were on top of the world....only to see their bragging rights last one season with Ole Miss winning in 2022. Ole Miss has always viewed MSU as their redneck, unworthy, "little brother". But they have always hated LSU. A program from a state viewed (by Mississippians) as, at best, equally as "destitute" as Mississippi. At worst, an uncouth group of (mostly) non-protestants. But, nevertheless, a program that has consistently performed so much better in everything for decades. Now Ole Miss's long awaited day in the sun is over with their hated neighbor back on top.

Please tell me this doesn't mean someone like Alabama or Texas A&M is going to win next year?

A&M has had plenty of chances to win it after Texas has won a national championship.

I think the NIL/JJ era is going to be really good for LSU baseball.

Odds are it’ll be an SEC team that wins it next year.

Except we were all kind of pulling for State and Ole Miss because both were great stories and most people loved seeing them break through with a crown. You have to admit, they were both eminently likeable. You don't have to worry about Bama and Aggie, they are irrelevant to big boy baseball, or in Aggie's case, big boy anything except for big boy Cheerboy.

Based on who has been winning the titles the last several years, looks like it’s Bama, Auburn, A&M or Tennessee’s turn to win it all next year.

2017: Florida
2018: Arkansas* (oh wait, )

2019: Vanderbilt

Alabama won't win. A&M should be pretty good however, never underestimate the aggies ability to frick up a good situation.

I don't know. It is amazing what you might be able to accomplish when your manager isn't betting on you to lose games.

They were 2-5 in SEC series after the LSU series. They fire that bozo and suddenly win 10 of their next 13 games.

Absolutely would’ve rathered Arkansas win it than the beavers. It’s pretty amazing as it is, but to have 6 different SEC teams win the NC in 6 consecutive seasons would’ve been unfrickingbelievable. The SEC is so far and away the best baseball conference. I mean the last 2 national champions couldn’t even qualify for their own conference’s postseason tournament this season when 12/14 teams make it.

Nearly top to bottom the entire conference is capable of winning a championship if they’re lucky enough. We’ve already seen a .500 club in Fresno St win the national championship in 2008 and ORU came pretty close to getting the chance to as a regional 4 seed again this season too.

I live in Arkansas, hate rival would be Arkansas winning it because of how annoying they are.

I had to educate many Arkansas fans that they are not the premier baseball team in the SEC. They legit think they are

You're conflating wanting to win it and having the talent to win it.
