Assuming he goes today, what pitch count do y’all feel he can be effective to? I assume he’ll pitch whether Skenes does or doesn’t

No very confident honestly with the wind blowing out and his tendency to throw a bad pitch higher in the zone to get tagged. It has been his issue all year even when he pitches good. He takes awhile to settle down. Can't give Florida those opportunities. When he's on his game he's probably right behind Skenes and maybe Floyd as best stuff on the roster. I would say if he's on his game it use to be he had best stuff right behind Skenes but Floyd lately has really evolved.

IF the homeplate ump gives him the strike on his high curve ball, look out. If he doesn't then he loses that pitch.

Hurd has been extremely efective with his FB and CB. Just needs to catch enough of the plate to keep blue happy and keep the UF hitters off balance.

Keep it routine & simple tonight. Skenes to Hurd, and then Herring if necessary. Score some runs and finish this game in 9 innings.

Reliving Skenes very confident. Not sure about it other than that.

Do y'all think Cooper gives us any innings tonight? I know he isn't feeling well.

A week ago he threw 65 pitches. 3 days (of rest) ago he threw 47. He should be good to go today from a rest standpoint.

His last game he threw 3 innings, allowed 1 hit and 1 walk, allowed 0 runs.

I feel good when he is on the mound.

He can keep us in the game, for sure.

He's not starting and going 7 innings of shut out baseball.

But he can definately get us 4 or 5 innings..... our bats have to deliver today. Period.

He has been getting better in the postseason. Especially in Omaha. He relived Floyd and went 3 innings, giving up 3 hits, 1 run, 3 walks, with 5 Ks. Then he relieved Skenes and went 3 innings, giving up 1 hit, 0 runs, 1 walk, with 1 K. I trust him.

A good defensive start is probably more important.

If Florida puts up 2-3 in the first it could snowball.

If his curve ball is on, he’s as good as anyone

I'm more concerned about our hitting. We can pitch a hell of a game, but if we do not get our bats going. We lose. FL has the momentum right now. We have to score early and often.
