I'm 50. Right one only, sometimes feel something in the left one but not much. Probably just pain radiation. Lying down seems to be more uncomfortable down there than standing. Woke me up a few days ago in the middle of the night feeling like someone thumped it pretty good. Just constant discomfort. Took aleve and after about and pain went away. Can't sleep with that feeling going on down there...

No pain during urination and no blood in urine or anything like that. No swelling. Feels and appears just like the other one.

The pain/discomfort sometimes feels like the testicle itself, sometimes feels like the nerve and vessel chord thingy it's attached to. Pain,/discomfort radiates really easy down there, so hard to tell sometimes exactly where.

Woke me up again tonight. Took 2 aleves about an hour ago.

Just that feeling like you got thumped down there. Not sure what causing it. It's not bad during the day. I have taken an aleve each morning so this didn't bother me at work. The two times it hurt most was in the middle of the night while sleeping.

I did have some really really bad coughing fits the night before. Didn't feel anything or experience any sudden pain. But hernia possibly?

Could be twisted, or a torsion. When I was 18 a severe pain woke me up and turned out it had twisted. Dr said it was equivalent to labor pains. Had to have an ultrasound and spend a night in the hospital with someone different it seemed every hour coming in to look at my balls. It untwisted before that when I sat up on a table but had to stay anyway. Said if it keeps happening they would have to remove it. Now when it does it I just untwist it myself. Good luck.

It could be testicular cancer. It’s 100% treatable but is a rapid developing cancer. You need to see a urologist immediately.

It’s the most common form of cancer in males in early adulthood… roughly ages 18-40. I was diagnosed at age 25 and 27 years later am all good.

Time is not on your side and you need to get it checked out.

Obviously, the best thing to do is ignore it the best you can and take pain meds and never go to the doc. Especially if you are expecting a trans operation!

Go to doc dummy.

I tend to get kidney stones. Sometimes when they pass the ureter they’ll sit right on a nerve that connects directly with your nut. Feels like someone has your ball in a vice and it comes in waves. But smaller stones will feel more like a dull pain, like you got thumped

There are some legitimate possible diagnoses here. The OT of a few years ago would have immediately pointed out the correct diagnoses of AIDS.

THAT BEING SAID... You have an unknown recurring pain in your testicles. Go to the fricking doctor immediately you retard.

Yeah I was going to post that it seems legit to provide this detailed description here instead of a medical provider. The OT will get you fixed right up mate

Yeah, I usually give weird pains a few days. They usually do go away.

Figured I may have just aggrevated something.

I had testicular torsion happen one day after church. My sack was so swollen and it felt like someone had cut it with a knife. I was headed to the ER and it magically went away. It had untwisted itself thankfully. A few months later I kept having lesser pain episodes. Went to doctor and had a sonogram done. Turns out I have something called a varicose vein and it was probably getting inflamed. Urologist said he could remove it but it may screw with my fertility. Decided to wait on surgery until we are done with kids and anytime I have an episode I take a few pain killers and lay down.

If you have back issues, that can cause discomfort.

Listen to this guy. I had two friends with testicular cancer and both are completely fine now. In both cases they experienced pain and thought it was from getting hit down there. It might not be cancer, but it’s worth a quick diagnosis. Very treatable and both were able to have kids after all of this. Good luck and don’t stress out, just get a doctor to check you out so you’ll have peace of mind.

Based on the replies, it sounds like it’s that testicle torsion situation. Just keep popping ibuprofen if it flares up for the next few months. No need to go to a Dr though.

Also, go ahead and pull the trigger on a life insurance policy for your family on Monday.

Friend,

The differential includes testicular torsion and the standard of care would dictate an immediate venous Doppler ultrasound to rule out torsion. They will probably do a regular US while there, and that will be able to tell you if it is epididymitis, a varicocele, a tumor, a spermatocele or other causes. As a torsion can lead to the loss of a testicle in a matter of hours, the ER immediately is where you should be.

I actually had this about two weeks ago when I started blood pressure medicine, this thread has convinced me to at least get it checked out and not just chalk it up to starting the new medicine. It feels better now, but safe over sorry.

I googled it and saw all these as well.

Pain is not that intense. Just a strong discomfort. Doesn't seem like torsion.

Made an appt for Tuesday with my primary care dr.
