Do we resign him?

NOOOOOOOOOOO!
Edit: unless it’s a sign and trade deal.

Maybe for league minimum and non guaranteed deal. Maybe. Guy is literally retarded and isn’t a good culture guy. Hasn’t improved at all and likes to hit women. Probably rather take a chance on a UDFA

Willie won’t play him because he doesn’t know what he’s doing out there even after all this time in the system. Despite his potential he’s a wasted roster spot for the Pels, and a constant reminder that he is not Darius Garland.

I would bring him back for the minimum

Rather just use Willy as the 3rd big man behind Jonas and Nance. Jaxon has all the energy and athleticism but has no idea what he’s doing on the court.

The dude has serious hops.

I think we should as long as it’s reasonable. The light will come on for him, still think he’s got Allstar ability.

It’s been 4 years and he hasn’t improved whatsoever. He doesn’t love basketball plain and simple. If he was gonna magically start giving a frick it would’ve happened this year considering he isn’t guaranteed next year. He has all the talent in the world but chose to be a frickboy. Not to mention he beat his girlfriend, fought the police, and acts like he oppressed when he grew up rich and has a white mother. All he had to do was learn to play defense and play pick and roll.

Re-sign that man for the minimum. He’s a beast in the PNR with BI

Yes, you sign him at his QO. If Pels don’t make a major move now, they’ll need salary at the deadline to make a move.

Seems unlikely that Willy comes back after whining all year to the Spanish press about his playing time... right ?

We have his option so it's entirely up to us. But you're right, he's not likely to be back. Griff doesn't force people to be here if they don't want to be here. So they'll more than likely let him go or pick up his option to use him in a trade.

Correct.

Wrong he can be had for MUCH cheaper than his QO. Plus if you still actually believe in him then sign him to a longer deal for less money.

Or we sign to the QO to use as a contract. However you want to play it, there’s no wrong move re-signing Hayes if you wish to move him.
Worst case scenario is he gets better.

no.
if he is gone someone else gets practice with team. gets coached up.
gets pt, at least in summer if not the major league team all season. someone else, mature and knows how to play defense. besides I dont want him around.

He isn’t worth half of his qualifying offer and he will not get offers from other teams close to that. Sign him to the minimum team option deal like Naji and Jose so he is positive asset. If you pick up his option for nearly 8 mil that is a negative asset
