Why can’t we just all be Americans? Where each race and race culture celebrate what in the hell they want to without shoving it on everybody.

There were never any celebrations of Juneteenth in Chicago in the 90s or 2000s. This BS just recently started up here.

I'm in Chicago, have been for well over 60 years, and nobody heard of this until last year. ...and nobody knew what it was about at that time either. Hell, most still don't.

As far as most people know, it's just a late Spring/early summer Kwanzaa celebration.

Yes I have a black nephew as well as a black friend I once had lunch with. So I get what you're saying.

I have several black nieces and nephews, my daughter is biracial and you guessed it, my wife is black.....we had a really nice family reunion last weekend. What happened to your black friend? Are you still friends?.

Evidently Youtube has decided Jason Whitlock's thoughts and opinions on Juneteenth are too sensitive, now Youtube wants you to sign in to verify your age because the content may be sensitive to some users.

Of course you would say that. You are making a data based claim that should be easily proven through a link or links. Show your work kid.

This thread is magic.

Maybe some of you simpletons and apologists can steal the SEC slogan, "It just means more."

Stop pandering to the minutia of the population that even acknowledges it as a thing.

I fully support having a black holiday for ending slavery to be celebrated by black folks.

Wow you are a lying douche bag. Maybe 5 people celebrated Juneteenth 4 years ago. It’s a made up “holiday.” ... frick off.
So angry.

You appear to be from California. Not surprising that you were unfamiliar with what was essentially a Texas holiday.

But your over-reaction to people who WERE familiar with it? Indicative of some serious anti-social tendencies, IMO.

You should listen to what Candace Owens calls ... Juneteenth. "Ghetto and made up"
Born in NYC and raised in Connecticut.

Not really surprising that she was unfamiliar with 150 years of Texas tradition.
