This team is very, very good. They have the best position player and pitcher in the country. However, they are not a complete team.

We just don’t have the depth in pitching to carry us through these types of situations. We have been overly reliant on our bats all year. At some point they were not going to come through against a top tier team, which happened yesterday.

No doubt the ump was horrible. We are very easily could’ve beaten Wake yesterday, but based on the number of arms they have, I would probably have to give them the edge as a better team.

Pitching was fine last night.. if we win that game we're sitting pretty damn good right now. We couldn't afford a loss, unfortunately we got handed 1. Now it's time to win tonight, then see what happens. Ya never know. It is baseball

This just a bunch of hot gas.

This team is the least clutch lsu baseball team I can ever recall. Feels like we either skull drag our opponents, blow a huge lead or we have countless opportunities but never get the big hit.

We’re pretty damn close. What sucks is we were all worried about pitching after Skenes. Everyone thought the bats would do their job. The thing we were confident in let us down last night

understand the depression. That was a heart breaking loss and likely cost us a ring. But you’ve got 2 choices. Sit around and be a puss, or man up and support some great tigers for possibly the last time…
I remember this exact feeling in 2017. This season is earily similar. I have a good feeling that DC3 and company aren’t ready to take the purple and gold off just yet. Time to flush last night and move on. CJJ and the boys aren’t sitting around feeling sorry for themselves and neither should you.

When the meat of your lineup goes 0'fer then it'll be tough to win. I don't think this will happen twice however so I'm confident in a better outing for this next game

Our last three losses we had teams exactly where we wanted with THE guys up, and as much as I love the baws our best hitters haven’t answered the call late in tight games

this team is not built for the losers bracket,Just dont have the depth in pitching. Then you get a good pitching performance and then last night the bats were non existent. Been a good season. Not great. Got back to Omaha for the first time in 6 years. Building to better things. Unfortunately, i think the season ends tonight.

They don’t have the lineup of this team. LSU and Wake as the game showed yesterday are definitely two of the top 3 teams in the country.

We just lost 3-2 and had terrible luck on Beloso’s ground ball to 3rd base in the 8th..

Oh stop, we lost a close game that could have gone either way. There was a rain delay that allowed Wake to play LSU instead of a Stanford team that had hit the wall and LSU would've likely beat. Sometimes that's just how the thing goes. If LSU was 2-0 and went on to win the title, no one would dispute them as the best team. Also, there's still a chance of that happening.

How do you know that we don't have the arms to make it through? The game tonight must be played and Vegas is giving us even odds to survive. It's not over.

Ok. What about games we won?

Did they answer the call in games we won?

I mean, had they answered the call in those 3 losses, would they be losses?

As I said before regionals this team could win a championship but must stay in the winners bracket. We went toe to toe with them last night in a good college game minus the ump behind the plate. Our bats were cold at the wrong time but our pitching exceeded my expectations last night. Floyd was awesome until he was not and Jay should know once he gets rattled in the middle innings it can mushroom. He waited one batter too long. I never like when you load the bases with no outs and bring in another pitcher. It’s too much pressure for the reliever. I thought Hurd did well too. We had opportunities but did not take advantage of them. I like the fact we have mashers and bashers but in some situations in a low scoring pitching duel with the wind blowing in small ball is needed to move the runners over. No way in heck do I run on contact unless it goes to the right side or to the middle infielders.

I agree with you that this team (due primarily to losing Taylor, Edwards, and Shores) is not equipped to win out of this particular losers bracket in Omaha.

As for the decision to go home on that ground ball I don't have a problem with it. Had Morgan actually broke on contact instead of hesitated AND knew how to slide correctly on that play LSU would have scored there and had 1st and 2nd with no outs.

Y'all love overreactions. It was a one run game that could have easily gone the other way with one good bounce.
No team is CLEARLY above the rest, and this team is DEFINITELY in the top tier of teams at the top.

Might not be the best team, but I still think we have the best single pitcher and the best bat in the nation.

Can still win it all, just need to have others step up.
