I would take that info with a salted rim. I just don't see it. Tennessee is in Omaha, they're one of 6 teams left for the national championship. LSU has more history, but the programs are on the same level right now.

LSU will be back to winning titles soon. Nobody is willing to dish the money LSU is out to buy a championship. We clean the portal out. We might get some huge surprises in the portal this year. Just need to find a few bats alongside the pitching. We're going to get some really good pitchers back at some point year. Don't know if Taylor will be gone all year I'd have to think he might be back by the midway point. He'd be amazing first option out of the pen.

If he feels slighted that he was sent to the BP instead of keeping a starters role then I could see it.

All these players that transfer to LSU will all say something like wanting a championship BS, but it's really the $$$ they are hearing we pay. LSU are the Yankees, Dodgers, and Cubs combined for college baseball. Plain and simple

The same was said about Smith from Arkansas. Let me know when he’s in the portal.

Not sure he fits with the ‘meld’ of what Jay is building. He’s got a whole lot of me, me, me in him -

And yet he still goes out and pitches his @$$ off for a program he’s ready to leave

why come to LSU? More money? Better program?

Very few programs in the country care as much about baseball as LSU. That means there are very few programs that have boosters that care as much about baseball as LSU has.

If you are a good player at a school, on a partial scholarship, routinely playing in in front of 4-5 thousand fans (at BEST) every time out, going to a place like LSU...where you can make significantly more NIL money is very appealing.

In football LSU is very competitive in the NIL market. But so is Ohio St, Alabama, Texas, A&M, Georgia, USC, Auburn, etc, etc. Same for basketball. There are many big programs highly competitive in the NIL market. In baseball? Not so much. Yes, Ole Miss, and Miss. St, and Arkansas, and Tennessee "care". But I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see LSU have the biggest NIL "payroll" in the country.

I’m not sure if any of this would happen. My buddy from Lake Charles is Chase’s cousin. Meaning he has family in Louisiana.

Not sure if I'm misreading, but why would Burns having family in Louisiana be a reason this wouldn't happen?

The kid can sling it but he only has 2 pitches
Tyler Glasnow has 2 pitches, Jacob DeGrom has 2 pitches, Shane McClanahan has 2 pitches, Framber Vadez has 2 pitches, Christian Javier has 2 pitches, Kevin Gausman has 2 pitches, Lucas Giolito has 2 pitches.

If you throw upper 90s-100+, you don’t need to rely on more than 2 pitches. You can have an extra pitch or 2 in your back pocket, but they’re not necessary in order to be successful.

Laviolette's dad played football at Nicholls and is an LSU fan.

If Burns wants to come to LSU, he's coming to LSU. I doubt JJ turns down a guy with his stuff. Burns and Hurd would be a damn strong 1-2 and the Xavier guy on Sunday.

That doesn't mean anything anymore, especially when you're a high profile player using NIL as bargaining chip. If a player like Burns or Laviolette does enter the portal, they 95% already have a destination in mind

With us sending Ragging Violentalos home, I'd expect to see something soon.

Are you saying there is real smoke that he is entering and LSU is the likely destination?

I have no idea how reliable it is but multiple people on the tenn board are saying he’s coming here

Not sure if it’s just their insecurities or what though bc they’re pretty aggravated about losing Skenes, White, Braswell, and Loer to us combined with us kicking their asses twice in Omaha
