Reyna don’t look so great. Fack.

We are the kings of this shitty confederation.

We have the solid foundation for a squad that can seriously compete. Don't frick it up Gregg.

And now 3 straight Concacaf titles at the senior level for the first time in program history.
This is the furthest clear of the local rivals the USMNT have been in my lifetime. Quite likely it's the furthest clear we've ever been & the pipeline says the gap's gonna grow.

Richards MotM for me, closely followed by Musah.
Gio would have been it if he wasn’t injured.
ETA: Balogun is the 9 we have been needing. His off-the-ball movement is great, and he is good in hold-up play. Pair that with his ability to create, and we have a coherent attack.
Gio is still the key to that attack, though. It was clear when he was missing that we lost our teeth.

Would be Weah or Richards MOTM for me

Yeah Richards is great. Back 4 is solid for the foreseeable future which is a huge relief.

Gio, even though he only played a half.

Weah can do it all.
He's been our best player for 2 years now. Like I said in the last game thread, I'm pretty sure he's been a part of almost every goal we've scored.

Cannot be stressed enough how awesome it is that we won with a midfield with all 3 guys playing out of position.

Balo is such a great modern striker. Strong as a mule but runs like a deer. Arsenal should try to keep him.

Shinguardian made a great point about how he's the first striker we've had whose talent matches how hard he works off and on the ball.

Turner still got the gloves on

Gregg took Jesus instead of Pepi.
In the year leading up to the tournament Ferreira had 24 goal contributions and Pepi had four. Hindsight being 20-20 I would have preferred Pepi but given the context that Pepi wasn’t scoring or hardly playing I think it was reasonable at the time. If we had a summer World Cup I bet Pepi makes it over Ferreira.

We made Jonathan David invisible today.

I think the best thing about this tournament is that we will never see DeAndre Yedlin, Kellen Acosta, or Jordan Morris in a first-team side again!

Clint just mentioned it and I noticed it during the game, we pushed for more goals until Scally went down and we went to a back 5. We didn’t take the foot off the gas. Even up 2-0. It was a breath of fresh air.

I prefer him to Nketiah tbh but I don’t think that’s how Arteta sees it.
