My 18mo old Polaris 9450 sport just croaked and looking at other options. Can’t say I was completely disappointed in the machine, I did however think I would get more life out of it. Thankfully I bought the 2yr ext warranty through assurion on prime

I see a number of Dolphins in that range. I’d be curious to know any personal experiences with them. And how they stack up against Polaris in general

Thanks

I've had a Dolphin Explorer E30 for 2 years now. No problems and it works great. I have a small 10k gallon pool.

The market for Maytronics vacuums is kind of weird. They make lots of different models that are only different in name, and let different stores sell the different models.

There's a store in Colorado called Marina Pool and Spa that does a huge phone sales business and sells Maytronic vaccuums for several hundred dollars cheaper than you'll find local. Give them a call, the guy I've talked to in the past is very knowledgeable and doesn't try to upsell you.

I have a dolphin s200 and it has been great. Just keep the control box out of direct sunlight.

I’ve had this one for about 8 years, if I recall correctly. I’ve had to replace the electrical cord once (DYI - weathered, chlorine) and the tracks but it’s held up well. I can’t compare it to another as it’s the only one I’ve owned. Seems to do a good job, not so on steps, but then as I understand none do. Replacement parts are readily available if and when needed.

My reason for buying it, at the time, I really couldn’t find any significant negative reviews on multiple sites.

I have a Dolphin M200. It quit at the ripe age of 2.05 years old. Warranty is 2 years. Dealer (kudos to them) says that the cord was bad and will be replaced with warranty coverage. I‘ll pick it up Monday and am skeptical. When I checked the cord with a multimeter, it seemed fine.

I have a Dolphin Maytronics, climbs and scrubs walls as well as vacuum. It is not the remote or wifi type. I leave it in the pool mostly, walk out in the morning, turn it on and it runs and does what it is supposed to do. Clean and empty filter basket as needed. Take it out occasionally to dry, upside down, to empty baffles and such. Running over two years so far and is light years better than any polaris skimming type cleaners I have owned.

ETA: The one I purchased was a refurb unit with fill warranty.

I'm on year 2 with my Dolphin DX4 I purchased off Amazon and haven't had any issues with it. It cleans very well. I remove it from the pool after each use. They have a DX3 that's a little less expensive that I believe the only difference is the cord length. The DX5i is a little higher than the DX4 as it has phone connectivity, something I didn't feel I needed.

I’ve had a Dolphin cc nautilus plus for a little over 4 years. It has done a great job so far. During swimming season I use it almost daily and a couple times a week during the winter. It came with two sets of filters, pleated and mesh, which are just now in need of replacing.

It stopped working this week and I have a replacement cord on order and I’ll have it fixed for less than $200. This is the only issue I’ve had with it so far.
