Bars to watch CWS game in Houston?

I will be in Houston this weekend to catch an Astros game and was wondering if there were any good places someone could recommend to go and watch the game. Looking for more of a dive/local bar; trying to avoid BWW's, Walk-ons, Hooters, etc.

Drift in the Heights was the watch bar for football games. Haven’t seen the alumni page advertise it for the CWS though. Also not a dive bar.

I went last Saturday to watch game 1 vs UK but I left when the delay was announced. There were around 10-15 Tiger fans there, so I would imagine there will be at least a small crowd for the CWS. I wouldn’t expect them to have the game audio, though. The Boot right across the street had a small LSU crowd as well, but it’s mostly outdoor seating and will be hot

No it hasn’t. Little Woodrow’s on Shepherd is what they’re referring to. It was the LSU bar for years before moving to Drift this past season.

Little Woodrow’s on Shepherd was my favorite place to watch college football. All the beer. Good enough food. It’s a post-college - early 30’s crowd.
If the weather is good, there’s a place in the Heights (coincidentally also on Shepherd) called The Burger Joint. Massive patio with TV’s everywhere. Incredible burgers/food. Enough beers on tap to keep you happy.
Drift Bar in the Heights is a great patio bar as well. Only been there once. Never had food.

Drift sucked balls. It should move back to Woodrow’s for 2023
