I grew up a huge GNR fan back in the day. I had 2 opportunities to watch them in concert back in their prime and both times I dropped the ball.

I always told myself that I would never miss them in concert again if there was ever an opportunity to watch them again in my lifetime.

Guns N Roses will be in concert at a music festival in downtown Atlanta later this year.

The music festival attracts more than 100,000 people so it’s not some small music hall for washed up band / cover bands.

My question: will GNR actually be any good? I honestly don’t even know who are still members of the band these days lol

What do y’all think?

Don't worry about all that. Just go. Axl might be hit or miss, but Slash, IMO, is literally at the peak of his game right now.

I also missed them back in the day. I got a chance to see them on the last tour. Worth it. Axl was excellent and Slash was absolutely amazing. Much better of a guitarist than I had given him credit for. I'm going to see them again this tour. Matter of fact, I got my Nightrain ticket package stuff yesterday. A Hard Skool mini vinyl, a London 1991 Live at Wembley cd, and a Guns N' Roses Nightrain 2023 pin. Just go see them.

I have seen them more than any other band except for maybe Down. Am going to see them in Biloxi in September and then in Indio for Power Trip.

In 2017 they were damn good. Was a little nervous about the "reunion" tours but they kicked arse.

Saw them at Voodoo in 2020 or 2021 and it is easy to tell that Axl's voice isnt what it was. Still good show.

They are starting to do a coordinated jam for awhile to give Axl some more time between his signing parts which is cool. Slash was playing Estranged and he suddenly went out of tune, I knew it, he knew it, and he kept looking back at his roadie. Looked pissed and did what he could. Good time.

They were great in 2016 when I saw them in NOLA. Like others have said, Slash alone is worth the price of admission.

Saw them in the PMAC in January of 92, this was the tour for Use Your Illusions I & II. Soundgarden opened, they were touring for their Badmotorfinger release.

That was a pretty awesome show.

Saw them again in 92 in the Superdome with Metallic and Faith No More. Metallica definitely stole the show for this one. I think the cracks were starting to form for GNR at that time.

PMac or Superdome? I took my nephew to the one in the PMac, I think he was around 20, just getting on his feet so I paid for a ticket for him to go with me.

I bought tickets to see them at Minute Maid park in Houston this September and my buddy said the sounds sucks in that venue. I reminded him that Axl Rose is 61 lol. I’m still gonna jam. Will be my first time seeing them. I’m gonna try and find a hotel close by to make it an easy night. I can’t wait!!!

I saw them in Houston a few years ago.

A few songs into the set, Axl’s piano was out of tune and he just stopped. Taps key impatiently a few times if I remember. Says nothing. Just sits there. Crowd goes dead quiet waiting. It seemed as if he was going to burn the place down.

Roadies roll out another like their lives depend on it and he starts again.

It was hilarious and awesome. I really enjoyed seeing them.

Saw them July of '91 and again in '18.

'91 was incredible, and '18 was way better than I anticipated.

Regardless of the quality of your show, you'll be glad you saw 'em. Enjoy.
