Officer wright is a turd for sure. Feel for you tax payers watching how this was handled, I know that isn’t how all officers & public officials act, but that dude is a problem in that community.

You don’t hate public officials lying and going hands on? Or the fact the government will demand something from you and yet can’t cooperate with citizens?

I didnt watch this specific videos and of course i hate corrupt officials. Just saying i hate when they go into public buildings and try to provoke works who have little to do with anything, just work there. Saw one where guys went into a public library and just jammed their cameras in the librarians faces until one of them snapped.

I may make a record request for surveillance video to see what happens

They are also able to charge a "Reasonable fee' to comply with a FOIA request.

The Supreme court has ruled that you have no expectation of privacy in public, or anywhere that can be viewed from public. Exceptions are photos/videos taken for sexual gratification, "Up your skirt, etc.

A local law, or bureaucratic policy, that says you can't film in a public area does not trump someone's Constitutional rights.

These cops that do not understand the law are always informed by these "Auditors" that they have the right to be there, and they ask for a supervisor. If a Sargent shows up and doesn't know the law, they ask for a Lieutenant.

Cops putting their mitts on these guys has cost municipalities enough in lawsuits, that they are training their LEO's on people's rights. The training starts at the top, and finally works its way down to the beat cop. Training will be coming to BR because these buffoons not only violated his rights, but two of them pushed this dude down the steps. Then, every LEO he spoke to refused to uphold the law because of the thin blue line.

This person is suing the City Parish, as someone I know that is involved with city parish said they cannot comment on it.

Brian Pope ended up in jail for ignoring a public record request as the city marshal. Well that and 100 other charges but the PRR was first.

Actually fifth circuit ruler you can't video tape a police station. Arrests are OK but the actual buildings aren't.

And then report back.

Yea I'm gonna need you to link that. You can record anywhere in a public building as long as your not inside yourself a restricted marked area.

If it changes unlawful policies from happening to you or me so be it. Only way change can be made is to fight it out. Lawyers don't work for free last time I checked.

The hypocrisy of the government knows no bounds. And the low IQs in this thread have no problem with the government recording us everywhere. And before one of you Neanderthals says “if you aren’t doing anything wrong you shouldn’t care if the government records you” go drown yourself in a septic tank.

Exactly. Exercise your rights or you’ll lose them.

SCOTUS says you can film in all places viewable to the public.

Yes, he will end up getting paid.

Low IQ’s that work for the Sheriff’s office and City Constables office have fell into his trap hook, line, and sinker.

Anyone can see this coming a mile away. Let him film. When no one cares he would go away.

No these low IQ individuals are too stupid to see it.

They all need to be fired.
