Frambaw is our only hope.

Abreu has 3 bombs and 14 RBI off of Berrios. Any bets on him going deep today?

Anyone?

Seeing no takers, obviously this isn't winnable.

Been two days since the ten run curse - might be able to rebound.

I'd like to watch my favorite team win a baseball game today.

Hunter Renfroe
Cody Bellinger
Joc Pederson
Michael Conforto
Jorge Soler
Randal Grichuk

Step right up and pick your draw for the man to save this offense. Those are your options. Choose wisely.

These are the fits for Brantley insurance (aka replacement).

Jorge Soler

Dana has familiarity and perhaps affection for Soler from the ATL WS run though. He won't fix the issue for us vs. RHP but he murders LHP and hits lots of bombs.

In the end, it's infuriating how fricked up the offseason was. Crane should be ashamed.

I'm strangely optimistic about our chances in this one

To no surprise whatsoever my DAT lasted a day.

They need to win tonight. Texas is pulling away a little bit and Tornoto getting closer. Frambaw needs to Frambaw.

Soler gives us the power were lacking. Issue is the Marlins are currently a surprise contender at least for the time being.

I'm sorry for the blasphemy but I still like Bellinger so long as he doesn't bottom out back to a .200 hitter. Please don't shun me from the community

There's no doubt Soler getting the Julks ABs would be better for the team. I have no problem with Bellinger either.

Bellinger is an interesting one... Renfroe hasn't been great lately but he's still a power threat.

A little off topic, but after seeing Eovaldi's success this year I wondered "Why did we not pursue him? He's always seemed like a good fit. Charlie Morton-lite." and then I remembered who was in control during our offseason

The realistic options for us probably won't be without some worts. I've kind of scoped the field with the limitation in mind of expiring deals. We likely don't have the ammo for a major deal or any kind of multi year piece. Think we kind of go for the 21 Braves boom or bust approach with guys like Duvall, Rosario, Joc and Soler. They ended up striking gold on all those guys as far as post season cash out goes.

I like Joc. We have several options who are fine vs lefties that you can platoon with him or you could get a separate low cost guy if you want.

If everything keeps trending like it has this season and we miraculously make the post szn then who's our starting 1B?

Ick! He's just icky. I feel the same about him that I did about Puig. Yuck. Puig, aka bat licker, was gross. Joc is weird. I would not be able to cheer for him.

I mean, if the season ended now we'd be in, so not sure it would be miraculous.

Uh. Do you really need to ask? We could trade for Paul Goldschmidt and Dusty would still start Abreu.
