No he wasn't. He is an American hero who helped keep our great country unified. He just had to burn down and pillage the slavers and traitors in Atlanta, which was the right move. A show of power was necessary to end the War ASAP and save more American lives in the long run.
Maybe he was a man ahead of his time, wouldn’t be a bad thing if he came and burned these crime infested liberal shithole cities to the ground.

In their home state and counties? You do realize the North invaded the South, right?
I know you aren't trying to paint the group fighting for the right to own and abuse humans as the victims here right?
You can go down the who started what but it boils down to one side tried to breakup the country so they wouldn't lose their free labor while the other kept the country whole and ended a very evil practice that was ended MUCH earlier in most other countries.

The man in the video claims Lyon struck a rebel in he head with a rock
I have no idea about the validity of that claim but stuff like that happens in war.
A very good friend of my father was a tunnel rat in Vietnam. Once while checking out a tunnel he dropped into a room with 4 VC. He used his pistol to kill 3 but ran out of bullets. He killed the last man with a tree root he found in the room. He was shot twice and stabbed in the thigh but was able to kill all 4 enemy. And somehow crawl back out of that hole.
I cannot imagine what that was like.

they broke ground on the CEBA when I was finishing up at LSU, they were trying to come up with a name for it and someone threw out Sherman as a suggestion, there was a public uproar and I'm pretty sure that individual was tarred, feathered, and banished to College Station for life, that's how it came to be called CEBA

War is hell, and the fact that we think there is such a thing as right and wrong in war is foolish. Rules in warfare is a modern creation and a lie.
Not really. Total war is actually an anomaly in history. Civilizations since the beginning of recorded history normally followed certain “rules” that their societies found acceptable.

Sherman dabbed on and cucked the Confederates so hard their kids spent the next 100 years taking it out on the blacks. Now the blacks get to dab on and cuck the Confederates great great grand kids for the next 100 years through violent crime and taking their tax dollars.
WTF is this “dabbed” and “cycled” nonsense. I swear the vast majority don’t speak the English language.

The Sherman tank sucked, German tanks were far superior. Just saying.

Except for the fact they were difficult to build in numbers and broke down often. The Sherman was built for ergonomics, mass production, ease of maintenance, and reliability. Quantity was a quality all it's own with them.

No. He pulled out all the stops to end a war. He undermined the ability of his adversary to remain operable in the field. You fight a war to win it.

There were 2 racist sides fighting each other. One side who had a minority that wanted to keep the institution of slavery, the other side still didn't recognize black people as humans and their equals. Blacks were conscripted to fight in separate units from white unionists. They also didn't have the same rights and were subject to Jim Crow laws in the North.
So spare me the garbage of the North was this bastion of complete virtue fighting for a moral cause.

What do you mean by "modern"? Sherman bucked the trend of "gentlemanly" warfare during the Late Modern Period. Though wartime atrocities were common before, by the late modern period (mid-18th century) warfare "rules" between "civilized" countries were adhered to pretty commonly.
Sherman adopting a total war type behavior during a civil war on American soil during this period is why it's considered "extreme" by some.

It was a shitty tank.
Not really. It wasn't as powerful as the panzers or tigers, but it was cheap, quick to produce, and fast. We were able to outgun the germans with speed and volume of firepower thanks to the Sherman.
