actually yes. He had his shirt ripped off earlier in the season, his wife got mad.
silly things like that can be what players remember in the moment.
if he was wearing a buzzer where was it the previous game when they actually successfully ripped his shirt off?

Earlier that season, he had a walk off hit and they ripped his jersey and undershirt off. So he told them not to do it. That's all there was to it. Not some Q style conspiracy.
