Just interested to listen to some additional songs with great drums that drive the track. Obviously Rush will be brought up. I have been listening to Dreaming by Blondie. What other ones are out there.

I like Clem's drumming on Atomic, also by Blondie.
Bonham's drumming pretty much demands my attention, any time that I hear a LZ song.

there was some awesome drumming in the 80s on tracks by bands like new order but where do drum machines rank on this list?

Porcupine Tree - Anesthetize
This is a clinic. I offer this as one of the best drummed songs of all time. Absolute perfection. It's a long song with much progression in it, so you need to see it all the way through for the full effect.
video of Gavin doing a focused drum session to the song
This isn't the entire song, but it's when everything picks up at about the 5 minute mark of it. You'll get to see just how sick this dude is

No doubt. Not sure on drum machines, but I also like Stewart Copeland and Budgie's drumming in Siouxsie and the Banshees.

got to cross 'proposing to siouxsie in her prime' off my bucketlist even if i was drunk at the time and budgie was sitting right next to me.

Sam Paulicelli - Hear Me (Devin Townsend)
Tomas Haake - Bleed (Meshuggah)
Darren King - Reset (Mutemath)
Matt Chamberlain - Limp (Fiona Apple)
What is the pocket? Matt Chamberlain is the pocket.
