YT LINK

Cliffs:

- Comcast has exercised its right to make Disney have to buy 1/3 of Hulu from Comcast.

- Price is about $9B, minimum.

- Comcast has stopped funding Disney for its part in Hulu.

- Could have to leverage assets and sell off properties to free up capital.

- Disney legal fights versus Comcast, Florida-DeSantis, and California shareholder suits are going to cost company a ton.

- Parks over last 6 weeks have been far down.

- Parks still provide majority of funding

- The Little Mermaid may not even break even.

- Disney has just scrapped Lake Nona campus and Starcruiser projects in Parks to stop some spending.

-Stock price has halved over last 3 yrs.

no im calling BS on this

disney has many divisions, parks, movies, entertainment, streaming, global divisions in most countries, its literally too big to fail.

that said, certain divisions may be going bankrupt and needs the global corporate consortium of all other divisions to bail them out

Not a Disney defender, but...

I thought it already did? Thought it costs 200 and made 215 last weekend?

This dumb MFer has 99K subscribers. If he knew shite on a log from a brownie, he’d be more widely known.

Sounds like a DeSantis plant.

First of all, no it didn't make $215 million last weekend. It's sitting at $320 Million global gross after 2 weekends. And with a 57% drop in ticket sales in week 2, this film is doomed because it's only going to get worse as more summer movies are scheduled to be released over the next couple weeks.

Secondly, it cost a minimum of $250 million just for production.

Finally, the studio doesn't get 100% of gross ticket sales. Not even close. Come on bro.

The Little Mermaid needs to have a minimum of $600 Million (and those are the friendliest estimates, it's closer to $750 Million) just to break even. It's fricked.

Fire Kathleen Kennedy for bankrupting you with her bullshite.

Eta

Put george Lucas back in control.

I'll frickin buy that the sequel trilogy was a force premonition dream-sequence if it means we get a do-over.

I remember when I worked at the Royal Palm 20 as a teenager I learned that the theaters don't give a damn about giving away popcorn, as long as you charge them for the bag.

I want to say the net profit margin for popcorn is like 90%, and almost all of cost is in the popcorn bag itself.

Same with soda.

Candy and Nachos have the lowest net profit per sale, but it's still pretty good.

The theaters actually get a bigger percentage of the ticket sales after the opening weekend. Usually they get 50% of ticket revenue in opening weekend, but that can jump to as much as 70% in week 2 and beyond.

I like how prefacing with “Attorney” makes it seem more legitimate.
