That’s since April 9th. They averaged 6.16 runs/gm prior to 4/9. Not sure why but they have had a significant jump in offense.

Warmer weather probably played a small role.

6 games vs NCAAT teams. 5 vs a 3 seed, 1 vs a 2 seed.

4 at home. 2 at neutral sites.

Let’s ride.

They can rake. That was clear last night regardless of pitching. They hit the ball better than any team yesterday.

I have concerns if LSU’s current offense can keep pace.

May 28 D1 Baseball Rankings

D1 had Oregon St. at #14 in their last poll, maybe they should have hosted over Oklahoma St. or Bama. Their RPI was lower and probably the deciding factor.

Should have saved skenes for their arse

I could have gone out there, pitched and beaten 40 loss Tulane

True, but they did face by far the worse pitching of any team yesterday as well. And they didn’t have 10,000 rowdy LSU fans screaming at them every at bat.

I guess Jay didn’t do the research on Oregon State and decided to do a ton of it on to Tulane to convince himself he had to pitch Skenes? Still really baffled by all this today.

At least we beat Tulane. LSU fans cannot stomach any loss to an in-state school. Especially in the postseason.

Johnson thru the gameplay for Tulane earlier in the season in the trash can is what he said
He started little that game coming off sec weekend
It looks like the whole regional game plan was thrown in the trash

I haven't crunched the numbers but I doubt that is true

LSU has averaged 8.07 runs a game over their last 28 games playing a tougher schedule including a scoring slump over their last 8 games (6.63 per game).

We'll see what happens tonight.

Thats who I would have pitched Skenes against instead of Tulane.

But I'm not the coach but only a pee-on who would pitch strength against strength of opponent.

During the regular season we experienced teams pitched their second or third arm against Skenes so they would not lose their best arm against Skenes.
