He pulled a Mulkey. Win a game in the SEC tournament which doesn't mean anything and focus on the NCAA tournament, which is actually important.

Ole Miss didn’t do shite in the SEC tourney, they just got hot in the regional, you couldn’t be further off in your statement

Teams don’t just turn it on in the regionals. They get hot leading up to regions and flower it going. See Ole Miss last year and many other examples. This team is trending in the wrong direction at the worst time. You can be a posiTiger, and generally I am, too, but objectively, this team is very unlikely to make it to Omaha.

Ole Miss lost 2 of its last 3 regular season games and then went 0-fer in the SEC Tournament.

This year’s LSU team has not 1 but 2 more wins between the last Friday of SEC play and regional play than last year’s Ole Miss team.

There are a lot of people still upset the guy they wanted hired wasn’t so they are going to continue to jump on Jay Johnson every chance they get.

On the flip side, there are a lot of people that can be objective while having taken a wait and see approach.

Jay is an extraordinary recruiter and right now appears to be an average manager. I hope I am wrong, but he makes questionable decisions daily.

Most of you have no clue about baseball let alone coaching. With the exception of injuries and rest our team can and does put the best chance of winning on the field every game. You can only coach up hitting, pitching and fielding so much. The rest is up to the team to execute. We were in every game we lost last.month but one or two aspects didn’t play up to their capabilities. The defense and walks is what bothers me the most. Pitching is starting to improve as a whole. Leaving RISP the last three weeks has been frustrating.

And this is not a good sign of leadership.

It’s exactly what Nick Saban would do.

CJJ is probably testy because he’s been asked the same question 20 times by people who already know the answers.

Wow.

Thats exactly what ole miss did last year. Lost their last games in the regular season then went 0-fer in Hoover.

How did what you said make ANY sense in your head? See this is the problem with a lot of people here. Just because you can type out what you want to have happened, doesnt mean it acutualy happened. We all saw it with our own eyes and know you are wrong.

The best reporters know the difference between a hard question (their job) and a smart arse personal question (not your job)

Ole Miss turned it on in May when they went 8-2 in their last 10 including a sweep over us and a win over the Southern Miss team that knocked us out.

They lost their last series against A&M, which was a CWS team, 1-2.

They were already gaining momentum well before regionals. I can’t say the same for our team.

You can play this dumb game with lots of teams.
2022 lsu turned it on at the right time and won 4 of their last 5 sec series before the postseason…..look how that turned out

My only concern is near the end of this postgame, jay mentioned he trusts dutton and we’ll need him either in an extended regional or omaha……..like what!?

Yesterday you were telling us not to worry about Dutton, and Jay was just experimenting.

You have cause for concern now. We have seen it over the course of the season.

The injuries will hold the team back, but, honestly, coach makes some head-scratching decisions.

I didnt say not to worry, i believe i said that you can tell jay doesnt care by bringing in dutton in that spot. And i posted that before the homer
What worries me, is even after that, and when you gather his stats for the season, he hasnt really had a good outing this year. The best i can see is a 1 ip 1 hit outing against south carolina, and i remember that inning, it was shaky as hell with a couple deep flyballs.
His whip in sec play is almost 3. I just dont see it with the kid.

he knows how good we would be with just an average bullpen

The bullpen was more than average this weekend and we still went 1-2.

Bats need to wake up when we get men on base.

You mean Augie Garrido got mad at reporters instead of his team?

I'll wait for the evidence of that right here. You don't have it.

Coach, how do you manage to lose to teams with inferior talent constantly over the past 40’days.

Be careful…you can’t ask questions like that on this board. You are supposed to just smile and say “they looked great today.”

Nick Saban doesn't have meltdowns over simple questions. None one has the answer to Tommy White's injury status. So what are you talking "probably been asked 20 times"? We're all in the dark, because he won't answer the question.
