Ridgeland, Pearl and Clinton are the next to fall. This is in the next 10 years or so. Flowood will be next, but it'll be 20 or 30 years. Madison has a long term tyrant Mayor who doesn't put up with shite and has fought apartments for decades. She is stickler for code enforcement and widely considered not able to be bought. Madison will be the last to fall. 39042 Brandon is kind of out of the way and will continue as is.

Ridgeland and Clinton have already gotten bad. Pearl’s police force at least keeps the Jackson people away but the trashy whites are a big part of that city. Agree with Madison. Mary isn’t letting any of that in as long as she’s alive. Gluckstadt has been good but Canton has started to creep in from the north. Both Brandon 042 and 047 look to be in good shape for a while.

The kids of two of my best friends graduated from Germantown over the last three or four years. They claimed there were a lot of "zone jumpers," from Canton. Said at graduations the demographics of the students did match up with the demographics of Gluckstadt.

I stayed in Pearl about 5 years ago, instead of my go to place in Flowood.
Then I would go over to County line Road across the reservoir to eat at Drago's.

The hotel in Pearl was scary.
My business partner was laughing as the Indian lady who ran the hotel was making passes at me.
Then put me in a room downstairs and kept checking on me.
I don't drink that much and she came to my room around midnight in a skimpy outfit with some cold bud light.
I kept texting him making jokes about her wanting to rape me. lol!

Then we went to the Ruby Tuesday for the salad bar to eat light.
The waiter said they had an endless salad bar, unfortunately no salad. lol!!

Hey now... Just kidding. I haven't been there in decades, though I chased Pentecostal chicks around there back in my 20s. Seemed pretty much like a standard kind of town--nothing particularly good or bad.

OTOH, I can confirm that the Jackson in Louisiana isn't much better.

That had to be the worst Cracker Barrel in the country. You could go, have nobody in front of you, 1/3 of the tables open, wait 45 minutes to be seated, and your waitress would bring the wrong food. It was horrible.

Tico’s is in Ridgeland and Tico Hoffman himself is a great LSU Tiger. Played golf while at LSU. He’s purple and gold through and through but knows where his bread is buttered. Used to host Houston Nutt’s OM teams while making their way to BR for games against LSU.

Dude.. in high school or 20’s, you never snuck off with a preacher’s daughter or some gals that have to put on the religious act for their parents and family… but just wanna get out and have a good time on the down low?

In the late 90’s, While at Northeast MS Community College taking some classes to transfer to MS State, a hair always up, nerdy glasses having, long dress wearing, pale, short, and skinny deacons daughter I sat next to from around Corinth, MS made her way easily into my top 5 best of all time. I’m talking some major “how did she learn that?” stuff. I’m talking 20 different ways to use damn pillowcases kind of things.

Some of them have some serious frustration to work out when out and away. Many of them have been sheltered and not allowed to do a whole lot. If they were more interested about what you did and not trying to get you to the Wednesday night service for it, you should’ve taken the clue man.

Went to Jackson circa 1996 to see a Russian museum exhibition. Naively went to the nearby theater that night for The Nutty Professor and were perhaps the only honkies there. That was a a helluva cultural experience.

Hotel told us not let anyone in the gate to the courtyard. You had to use a room key to enter. A sweet old lady asked me to let her and her son in, but I declined and noted the clerk’s strict instructions. That sweet lady called me a GD white MF. I’m still laughing about it.
