I honestly feel compassion for this young man I know he feels completely humiliated. I’m sure no one wants to succeed more than him. For his own good they should completely shut him down this year so that he has no more pressure on him. I say we could give him another chance before the season next year to see what can be done to help this guy out.
No matter how much harsh criticism me included have vented toward him. At least he did choose the purple and gold.

Just shows how mental this game can be. No one expected Little to have this type of season. I truly hope he can get his issues worked out. Talent is obviously there.

Believe it or not with his stuff a mlb team will still draft him and try and fix him
It’s still a mid 90 fastball

It’s got to be a mental thing with him and Jay and Wes will need to work with him in the offseason to overcome it. His Vandy numbers prior to transferring were solid. I hope he can come around with extra work in the off-season.

I feel for him as well. Yes he has his issues, but these damn umpires squeezing the zone was the onset that has developed into a big mental struggle for him.

He has forgotten how to be successful. Maybe some time off can straighten him out. Your kind compassionate words are indeed well taken.

Def a weak mind, as so many of his generation possess . It will deter his entire future in whatever path he chooses. He is not alone .They’re everywhere in today’s society. I wish him luck

Shut him down and give him one more chance? That doesn’t add up.

I’d pitch him in Hoover if necessary, but not in the playoffs. He seems to have lost it.

He gave up one run yesterday while we were behind 2.He didn’t lose the game. People are going over board with that.

He doesn't have a weak mind. If he had a weak mind he wouldn't continue to put himself in the position to overcome what he's dealing with. If he had a weak mind he'd run from it, say he's hurt, and avoid taking the field again. He's in the process of overcoming it and eventually will. He'll ultimately become a better pitcher working/anguishing through this process.

He needs to just stick with the fastball to command zone and only then if effective work in other pitches
It’s an overpowering fastball that can still be effective out of pen
He was that early in season and closed Texas game

I completely agree. You have to simplify the approach and then build from there

It’s completely mental because the more he needs a strike the more he misses by.

Crazy thing is he’s gotten bailed out by some atrocious swings on some 3 ball counts. Could have actually had worse results.

I’ve said it a few times, the issues with this team are mental
The bullpen has the mechanics
For whatever reason Johnson doesn’t know how to address the mental part of the game, example being Thompson last year

You mean the same Thompson who made great strides over the off-season? C’mon man, I get criticizing the coach but don’t cherry pick.

Little needs to be processed out to a program that we never play

There might come a time in the playoffs that we are desperately glad we have him. There is no reason to shut him down.

I can tell you that if we get into a situation in which the bases are loaded with no outs in the ninth, and we face elimination, I’ll take a chance with Little over Money or Hellmers to get the two strikeouts.
