Is the hype real around these? I see you can get 2 dozen for $35. I'm looking for a cheaper ball to play around with besides the Laddie Precept's I've been using.

They are terrible to play on the course with. Extremely Short and spinny for me

I bought 6 dozen the other day.
I have had good performance with them. They do cut easy.
I may lose 5 yds with them vs a proV

If you buy a mirror can you get the balls half off?

The OG ones from about 3-4 years ago were legit but the newer ones are not the same quality. If you want to save money on balls look into Vice balls.

Alrighty...I hit down on the ball quite hard and I do tend to scuff balls quite a bit. Is there a ball y'all are aware of that can take this kind of beating? The ProV1's I use for tournaments are great, but I'm just wanting a play around ball that can withstand the beating

They just came out with the V3 of the three piece ball like 2 weeks ago, haven't actually seen them in stores yet, only online. early reviews on the website are that they are more durable and less spinny.
Haven't seen a review by any of the websites on these yet. Also rumored to be adding a yellow version.

Buy used Prov1 balls.
Having said that, Vice Pro is very similar to ProV1 and seem just about as durable for me. Everyday price on Vice isn't great but they have good black friday deals and Sams Club has good sales on them at times.

Why buy new Pro V1s when grey hairs are spraying the course with brand new new ones all day for you to pick up?

5-10 yards shorter for me.

Not sure about their balls but their cabretta gloves are legit
Bought a 4pk for $22 a couple weeks ago before our member guest because it was going to be rainy
Highly recommend

Accidentally downvotes hit the wrong button.
I do love on a golf course right where the drives land so my yard gets pelted. It is incredible the ratio of prov1 to any other golf balls I find. I bet it is close to 4:1. Will never buy new balls again they are all over the course also depending on if you know where to look.

Just bought 5 dozen Vice Pro Plus balls - got the next dozen free. Comes out to be $28 a dozen. Not bad. Love them.

I was conversing with Bard (google’s version of ChatGPT) a couple days ago about the best golf balls on the market and asked it what ball would give similar performance to ProV1’s but with a caveat of being at least 20% cheaper and Vice Pro was its answer.

This is what I have hit my last two rounds. I'm not getting excessive spinning. They putt well. Probably my best two putting rounds back to back in over 2 yrs
Honestly, I could've handled a little more spin on my wedges. My driver has rolled out really well with them.
Cheap enough to try for a couple rounds anyway. Got my online to my door in a couple days

There’s a retired guy on my dads home course who collects balls from his yard and neighbors around the course. He sells them by brand from bins after cleaning. Pro V1 are $5 for 2. They all look mint to me.
Calloway seems to be the most common. He also has a “more used” bin that’s cheaper. Anyway, quite the racket and he’s fun to talk to. Especially his comments about all the people slicing pro v1x’s from the tips on #15, 80 yards into his backyard.
