I think it depends. If the look doesn't show off the aging body, I don't think it's as big of a deal. For example, Slash can still pull off the same look he had in the late 80s. However, Judas Priest's or Vince Niel's look of leather on geriatric skin isn't the most flattering.

I mean he has looked fricked up for a long time, now he just looks older and fricked up. I think he's still firing on the all cylinder fricked up look just fine. It is a big part of his onstage persona so he cant really stop in my opinion.

Yes. They are also people and subject to societal norms. I’m probably in the minority though.
